From video, a memory sticks in my mind of players trying not to drown in the mud back in 1981 through that mudy, muddy season.
There was one game in particular on the Way It Was 81 video ... was it Sturt-Centrals?
Snorkels required that day!

I'm imagining a few Sturt supporters will add yesterday's victory to their list of exhilirating moments.

Sturt v Woodville Unley 1981 - Wdv kicked just 4 goals and Unley was very muddy. I miss those days - those types of games were great to watch !!

And Woodville v Sturt at Woodville, 1984. Blighty kicks a mammoth goal in the quagmire as the Warriors get up.
