The draw is out and we start with a split round on 27/March

Pt Noarlunga V Noarlunga

Then we have no games Easter 3 April followed with a full round 10 April.

I had it emailed to me from SFL. It isn't a draft, it is the 2010 Programme for the A & B Grade

Mail is towns have lost 17 out of last years best 21,and before you start blaming the shoes (who im told have picked up 4 )the rest have been spread out between blackwood and Onkas. One would have to think bad bad management by the powers to be at edwardstown.Good luck to the new coach.
Question? was golding doing that bad of a job? surely not
Question?who will be more disappionted the edwardstown faithful or the boys club we call the SFL board.me thinks the SFL board.Geez the towns drop down the ladder how the hell are they going to attract PHOS, Plymton etc to join the SFL.Good luck to the maroon knobs.

I honestly beleive trying to scout teams from the SAAFL from now on is going to be a struggle. Southern SAAFL clubs have their junior set ups on Sundays and it seems to be runned quite succesfully. With college football,SANFL juniors and Seniors playing on the other side of town once every 3 weeks it makes it near impossible to set up a Saturday schedule. Considering Edwardstown have been riduculed by alot for not bringing in Juniors and I can understand that to a certain extent, but seeing Edwardstown consistantly had the best juniors in Metro South and still initially cant fully comply to the full SFL schedule why do some posters even want other SAAFL clubs to enter anyway?? Perhaps Hills and GSFL clubs are the most realistic option?? Food for thought anyway....

Have heard that the golding to $hoes signing has hit a hiccup. with the deal all but done and clearance put in I beleive it has been knocked back by the league due to some sort of rule. apparently a new team to the comp cannot clear any players to other teams in the same comp, until they have been in for 3 years. Not to sure about this but it is what Ive heard on the grapevine.

INTERESTING - FYI I've just checked 2009 SFL Constitution and Handbook and can not locate any such stipulation/amendment to cover this refusal of clearance request. Constitution was last amended March 2009 after the AGM, and after Edwardstown joined.

Anyone who wants to can have a look, it's on the SFL SportingPulse webpage
http://www.sportingpulse.com/assoc_page ... nID=133251

UPDATE: I went to SFL AGM tonight and asked the question re Edwardstown players and clearances. The response was Edwardstown can refuse a clearance to another SFL club, using the following rule.
"A player who has been first registered to play as a senior player with an S.F.L. Club, shall
remain with that S.F.L. Club for three years"

As all Edwardstown senior players registered with SFL for the first time for season 2009, they can use this rule if they choose to.
My Club is not talking to any Edwardstown players, so was answered as a neutral person. My response was it is "ridiculous" as the rule is being used out of the spirit in which is is written.
