Best of luck Choccies. Get the frozen peas ready.

Don't worry Moe, I hate peas with a passion but I made sure Mrs Choccies picked up a nice big bag for my bean bags to rest on for a few days..... Better get her to help me do a few samples too..... Just in case...
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Doing the hair cut yourself or going to a salon? ;)

Do it yourself, nobody and I mean nobody but me is going there with a razor blade.

Thursday the day, bet you dont use it over the weekend.

There is no way you will use it this weekend. Your wife may be tempted, but then all women are tempted by choccies ;)

DIY. Time to clear the forest...

Bet I don't use it and bet I don't move a great deal either !!!

The doctor is an old bloke too and didn't laugh when I let rip with the old classic "Hey doc, can you get rid of the bruising but keep the swelling?".......... Guess he's heard it before...

Well it's been 20 hours since my bean bags were invaded and tampered with and things aren't too bad at this point. Can't say I've been enjoying the ice pack too much but things are feeling OK at the moment. I'm sure a day watching the cricket will help... Have to say that the needle didn't seem to have a lot of effect cos it seemed like I felt way more than I should have !! Only the week before I had a melanoma removed from the back of my head and didn't feel a thing yet I felt most of the snip....

Michael Hamilton?
I worked with him as his junior RMO in 1968 on the Urology Clinic at RAH. He was already a qualified surgeon then.
Or David Hamilton in Finnis St who was my Surgical Registrar on the general surgery team later in the year?

Yes. Mine is still pinned to the fridge with a magnet. I'd better do something about it one day... :D

It is easy to inject local anaesthetic into the region around nerves near the surface of the skin, but more difficult to get it near the nerves supplying deeper soft tissues.
You cant feel for them with your fingers when injecting, and there is more variability about their path compared to those emerging near rigid tissues like the spine.
Fortunately, their are usually less pain sensitive nerve fibres in deeper tissues than in the skin.
