Div 6 Footy Tips Update
I'll post a table after we get a couple of rounds in, but for the moment I'll give a little summary.
Most punters got screwed over by Houghton and Trinity dropping their home games, but there was one astute lady who saw through that and nailed all 5 games - yes, the one and only, FC.
Sitting just behind her with 4 points is Darth Demon, Road to Glory, Demon Juke, and bomberrob. Most of you are sitting on 3 points.

very high quality game.
and there is one young houghton giant in liam davis who will kick a ton this year.
Houghton had no Green,Tapp,Dow and Starr!!
No Green, Tapp, Kuhar or Gilby. Starry isn't likely to play this year due to work commitments
Dow played Reserves and broke the fence with his mighty frame.
It was a very good game between us and the Sharks today, very fast and free flowing. Henley got the jump on us on the first quarter, and we spent much of the game pegging back the lead. We were within a goal several times during the last half, but they would just jag one or two and give themselves some breathing space.
don't forget young Scott Fitzfacebook

a big thanks goes to tossers. origanally the 2010 programme stated that the hawks will play tossers at the hawks nest??? tosserville approached the hawks to negotiate if they could have the home game in rnd 1 because they wanted a triple header at home....hawks said ok if you provide 2 cartons of beer for the hawks lads, tossers agreed to the deal.......... pffffft bloody welching tossers !!! not 1 single beer .....but winners are grinners !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks mate. Me have made massive strides IMO. For the first time I have been at the club individuals with a checkered past and history are either being officially warned and sanctioned by the committee or being turned away. Still a long way to go but we should see another year of improvement, disciple wise, from Mitchell Park.scottroo wrote:i know they have been trying to clean the place up, good on them
Thanks for your support dee man. Good to see you again. My offer of swapping is still on the table!dee man wrote:lockleys were very good but it was hard to say how good they are going to be with the opposition or lack of it they had.their were no incidents yesterday to the point that the game was very flat.good to see both teams started the game with no special setups except man on man across the ground.the demons played a very good free flowing game but in the end to be honest it was just a training drill with 4 players from the lions b grade also playing a grade.it is always sad to see clubs struggle and yesterday i was absolutely shattered to see what has happened to my old club.the boys just need to stick together and fight with everything they have to keep this great club together.at least in footy their is always next week to redeem yourself as the kangaroos proved
Cheers Darth. Pretty obvious that we are struggling on field at the moment. We were disappointed that we couldn't give you a bit more of a contest.Darth Demon wrote:Nothing out of the ordinary they're just passionate like the rest of us. "The Minties" were very well behaved yesterday and from my experience with the lads from "Quick Rd" it has always been the same...
At "Home" when the JB's kick in with the mob in front of the Clubrooms, they certainly can get their tales up.
And "Away" they're generally very well behaved.
Yesterday we hit the ground running with a lot of depth, run and a solid pre-season and Mitchell Pk looked very underdone and very slow. Pretty hard to get agro when you're getting pumped. Mitchell Pk will get better and deserve a fair go.
I must say the lads down at Lockleys, whilst absolutely smashing us on the scoreboard, were by and large a good bunch of blokes and were pretty respectful of the fact that we are battling to field a side, let alone be competitive.
Just wondering if Lockleys have a hair gel sponsorship? Fair dinkum nearly every bloke looked like they belong in a Japaneses comic strip.

Take nothing away from Paralowie either mate, I can't recall any team EVER coming to St.Marys Park and kicking that straight. We'll take any win we can get after a lean few years. We know Paralowie had some out and will improve, hopefully we can too.

Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?
