Re: SAAFL Div 2 & 2R (2010)
Fantastic win for the Hawks on the weekend!
SPOC started well and controlled the footy most of the first half, but we managed to stick with them. Then after half time we gained control of the footy but once again kicked points
.
The 3/4 time margin was approx 4 goals. The guys to there credit after coming off some close losses and severly undermanned could have dropped their heads when SPOC slotted the first goal of the final term. But instead they all lifted. The makeshift and undersized back line stuck to their blokes like glue and Kyle Reeves snuck down from a HBF and kicked 2 last qtr goals. Joel Vanderveld once again had 11 scoring shots kicking 6 goals 5 and could have had many more if the umpires paid fee kicks for tunneling.
Fantastic win
Hawks 15.18
SPOC 15.9

Definitely wasn't the case, they lead from start to finish.
The Uni lads would be happy with saturdays game, but I'd suspect not completely satisfied. Their efforts in the 2nd quarter, and the final 10mins of the game were black marks in what otherwise was a solid performance.
They did get a lot of umpiring decisions their way, but i assume this to be because they were regularly in front and first to the ball. Still, I'd like to know the final tally.

If its Bowman, then NM would surely know - one of his players is best mates with him.

OMG, he might turn up at Seaton if that's the case. Any chance NM?
Looks as though there is another club just can't get anything right!
No wonder the GPS has "giddy attacks", it's not sure which direction it's going to head next!

Yes it is him, you won't find him playing at Seaton tho, as a matter of fact he's had enough of football for this year & won't play anywhere.

Oh and the best line yesterday from u guys was " where are the toilets at this place or do they not have any!!" haha had to make an excuse didn't you guys!! But made us laugh at you just that little bit more
There's always sledging involved between the two clubs, most of it rubbish and irrelevant to the game. An Eastern Park supporter had a good one though "enjoy your long drive down South Rd Flinders!"...we don't even use that road
At the end of the day Eastern Park were too good with alot more experience, Wilson was unstoppable. The stronger ex-league/reserves players that EP have make a big difference to their side especially when coming up against a Flinders Park on-ball brigade which are relatively young and inexperienced. I wouldn't expect EP to lose at home this year, they play the small ground very well.

NM you are WRONG!
Toby is still playing for walkerville this yr, he missed last week for personal reasons. Toby is a great bloke and is a required player at the cattery for the rest of the yr and with any luck many years to come.
