Although i think Kym Jarman is doing a good job writing in Producer, its funny to see his reluctance to predict United losing each week by any more than a couple of goals. While most of us thought they would've been better than the dismal performances they have served up so far & i do beleive they will probably upset an opponent at some stage this year but surely Virginia at home will win by a lot more than 12 points. Unlees he meant 12 goals..... Wears his heart on his sleeve old jars (not that there is neccesarily anything wrong with that). But as a supposedly independent reporter, it doesn't give much weight to some of his opinions perhaps. Great article about the Eagles though. You don't realise the quality they have lost over 2-3 seasons until its put down on paper.

Your right about Longies Woofa, they are not gunna trouble many sides this season, but are capable of an upset if burgoyne kicks a big bag. The plains producer does a great job of covering plains footy. Hummocks are a great side, always hard to beat at Port Wakefield. 5 premierships in the past 9 seasons shows how consistent they have been despite losing some pretty handy players. Saturdays 1 point loss to Mallala is sign there gunna be right up there again this season. Saturday match against arch rival Balaklava should be a beauty.

I don't wanna look like I am defending him (but I'm going to), but at least he puts his name to his tips, unlike all of us on here. I know it isn't easy for him tipping against us but you do have to remember that he is a player first. I think you will all agree that his general columns and previews are a fantastic addition to the Producer.

I think he is doing a great job of being unbiased as best he can and I thought that the Hummocks article was a fantastic read. Another great piece written by Jars was the story in the Sunday Mail Country Footy liftout a few months ago about Keith Earl from Mallala. Surely if he was biased he could have easily chosen to write at least one of these stories about the Tigers?

Another thing you have to remember is the time he donates each Saturday morning promoting and talking about results/previews of our league on BBB FM (89.1). He is a fantastic promoter of all things great in our league and always talks about the positives.
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

does it really matter who he tips anyway? for all i care he can tip united every week as long as his review/preview of the games are unbiased and accurate, which they seem to be... his tips are for who he thinks will win, nothing else

I think Jars does a great job hard to find people like that to do the job he does.

Eagles by 24
Virginia by 12 ;)
2Wells by 38

Jars knows his APFL! Rams have no Galic and no Wrigney for a few weeks, and coming off a 40pt loss.

Cheers for the mention Jars ;)

Where didn't you agree with what Jars wrote? Unless you are Woofa as well.

Speaking of the great man that is Jars. He is playing his 200th game for us tomorrow. That is a great achievement in anyones book, so congratulations mate. =D> =D>

you know when he gave his run down on the clubs so far. its easy to judge from the outside but the results dont show a true indication of how we've been playing. 5 min lapses have cost us 2 wins. regardless of what others will say. that is all.
