Please not mr grumpy.

For the first time in years I actually feel like the crows had been making great strides off the field, with the right people in the right places. The marketing was less kitsch too.

As an assistant coach? quite possibly, he does have a ton of experience

The fact he has put his hand up makes him look even stupider than he already did

if he was actually serious he would have called the crows already - seems more likely to be something that has just been blown up because mick talks to 5aa every week

Heard the interview and it has been blown up

I thought more interesting was his comment about John Worsfold leaving West Coast, I thought he was suggesting there was something sinister in it

I think there was a common thought that Worsfold was alledgedly a big supporter of Ben cousins

Plenty have said he knew that several players were up to no good but tolerated it because they were winning. I think Cox may have said something similar in his recent book

Have also heard he was allegedly an active participant in a range of activities the players were involved in.

Yeah, I dont blame him TBH.
As long as guys aren't doing it before matchdays I couldnt care what they get up to in their off time and they were such a dominant side in that period.

Douglas will miss the Richmond clash after having his appendix removed in an emergency procedure on Monday night.

ADELAIDE midfielder Richard Douglas will not play against Richmond on Friday night after undergoing emergency surgery to remove his appendix.

The 28-year-old gathered 22 possessions against the Sydney Swans last Saturday night, but was rushed to hospital on Monday evening suffering appendicitis.

Surgeons removed Douglas’ inflamed appendix, ruling him out of the club's crucial encounter with the Tigers at Adelaide Oval on Friday night.

It's a cruel blow for the Crows, who will miss Douglas' running game.

They won contested possession against the Swans but were unable to generate enough quality outside in the 52-point loss./news/2015-08-04/top-crow-to-miss-richmond-clash

i watched the game yesterday in full and i was amazed how and why the crows didn't try and shut down some of the key ball winners? Also Jetta was left alone pretty much all day on the wing???

Agreed, its also the story of the past few years. The gap between the best and worst is huge. We lack pace in key areas which kills us and our poor DE allows sides to cut us straight through the middle of the ground rendering any defence useless. Id hate to be a backman in the AFC side.

Your mids just cut us apart inside and out. We had no answer, and basically became training cones for you blokes.

Crows clash guernseys for next year. Don't mind the white, not really into the yellow one. Hopefully they just leave it the same for a few years rather than swapping and changing it each season.

I like it.

Swapping it each year is an easy way to sell new jumpers without changing the design of the main one.

When would we use the secondary clash Guernsey? Away to Sydney or Geelong?

Port use to change the guernseys all the time, not sure it really helped their bottom line at the time and they had some horrendous guernseys. We have Heritage, Indigenous Guernseys every year that sell well anyway, no need to keep producing new clash ones.

I'd like to see teams change their guernsey for each and every game. This will finally complete the AFL's mission to make the game completely unrecognisable and I will be able to give up on it entirely.

They are a huge improvement on what has been dished up over the past few years.

Is the yellow strip in between the red and blue strips on the yellow clash jumper necessary? They should merge the red and blue and make it of similar style to the bulldogs jumper.

Minor criticism to an otherwise decent change. Simple is always effective.

Agree with that. A lot of clubs have kept it simple with their clash guernseys over the last few years - Port, Collingwood, Bulldogs, Freo, Geelong. Not need to go all out with the design

i thought the same thing - two bigger red and blue stripes and no yellow would have been better
