Yes they are. Think the proposal for change is for next season, wanted to give clubs 12 months to plan for it.

About time, should of happened 3-4 years ago!,

Sorry to the college traditionalists but college cricket has been in a steady decline which has had an impact on the junior PC standard.
Tradition was playing 2 day cricket, now it is just one dayers. It is going the way of college football standard.

Only 6-7 weeks to season kicks off, any goss going around?

Heard Josh Barrett new captain of East Torrens, interesting decision in his first year at club - Cormack be spewing

1st Grade down to 90 overs in a day - excellent decision - big penalties for slow over rates though with points off premiership table - could be costly if finish on level points.

2nd Grade to start at 10.30am also, still with 90 overs.

Yes - saw that on their F/B page. Joe Mennie back to Uni. On their F/B page he's announced as bowling coach but I think he'll also play? I also heard that the lad that's down from QLD (Stockdale) for the emerging pathway squad is heading out to Northern Districts. Cosgrove stitched him up as he's in charge of the emerging squad as well (although I suspect Ryan Harris may have also had something to do with it).
Haven't heard too much else.

Jake Fraser-McGurk going to Kensington (Alex Ross gone to Sydney, Jake Brown obviously retired).

In terms of slow over rates...a 3 over grace period is given.
So a bowling team can be 3 overs down and not get penalised. But after that it is 1 point for every over behind the rate taken from your total points on the premiership table.

Any news on more movements?

Thompson from Seahorses to Buffs was a surprise
Unfortunately Stingrays finding hard again, although there is talk a couple of younger players may come back. Rajesh wanted top $$ to go back and potentially captain

I was reliably told there were a few rea$on$ that Thompson went to the Buff$

surely Rajesh wasn't asking for money he's made one A grade 50.

The Stingrays might surprise a few they have got a decent group of young blokes down there i think theyll finish ahead of Prospect and Adelaide

I guess given that it's becoming optional the following season they figure why occupy their time weekly to fill the last few spots in a team that won't exist soon, and few (or none?) of the players likely to ever play 1st or 2nd grade

Surprised with this as their success has made them a destination club and they have been recruiting so numbers should be strong.

Genuine question do they get fined for each game for forfeiting?

Good of Ingle Farm to help them out

I saw Glenelg training at Pulteney in the south parklands this afternoon. Maybe their nets are getting work done too?

October 1 the lease changes to summer tenants. Council wouldn't have facilities ready and most likely winter occupants are not ready to hand over.

Women's 1st Grade have Twenty20 double headers on Sunday.

All other grades start the following weekend

With the Tigers winning the premiership council curator couldn't move on the wicket preparations until the Monday after as the football boundary cuts into the wickets.

Good luck getting a car park there - especially Sunday with the SA v TAS Marsh Cup game on as well.
