Tippett asked for the deal as a condition of signing the last contract. He must have. The alternative scenario is the club said "hey Kurt, thanks for signing but we want to add this little clause in so we can lose you for a 2nd round draft pick later on".
I think Tippett has been holding a gun to the club's head for 4 years which is why I say they should have just traded him back then.
The club is culpable too for agreeing to the deal. Both parties as thick as thieves on this one.
I'm sure Tippett and Reidy argued about it for months until Reid conceded.
All Tippetts manager had to do was paperwork at the end. Dreaming!!!

To be honest, I reckon it was used to seal the deal two years ago and that's it. He was deciding then where to go/what to do - and the Crows offered to send him where he wants to go to get the contract over the line and get his signature.

Because if the crows have been found guilty of putting undisclosed parts in players contracts . The likelihood of them Only doing it once for Tippett is extremely minimal.
Therefore they are salary cap cheats like South Adelaide

Same here. With all this carry on I can't see how he fits in with the Sydney 'culture' that they have going.

Yeah but it was denied by the Crows all along. And they wouldve been fine if Tippetts management hadnt tried to hold them to it, and Gold Coast wanted it looked into after receiving some info about the 2009 deal that kept him in Adelaide.
They were pretty much forced to come to the league to try to look honest, or keep denying it til it came out in an investigation, and they wouldve looked even worse.
