Re: Adelaide Footy League Division 5 - 2018
Barrel is set up 40m away. There is $10k for getting it in on the full. If more than one does it by 4pm they split the $10k.
There is a further prize for kicking the longest barrel, however someone launched one 74m early on so most people have stopped trying for that one.
There is $100k up for grabs according to the banner, not sure if that's total (and therefore 90k for the long kick) or $100k for the longest kick and the $10k for in the barrel is a bonus.
As for others getting close, a few blokes have hit the rim of the barrel

Like that’s hard at the moment haha!
Kind of glad, don’t have to spend all day listening to him relive his glory

The winner of the longest kick gets $50k for themselves and then $50k for there club. But it was Lewis Johnston from Norwood who won the longest kick.

Re: Adelaide Footy League Division 5 - 2018
Saw CBC Magoos knock off another struggling team by 150 odd points. The flogs didn't even stop trying when they hit 100 up.
My sources say that they even saw one of the forwards celebrate after kicking 10 goals (I think it was Bryan Yates). That sort of stuff just isn't on.
Bring in the mercy rule in my honest opinion.

Can't have people celebrating goals when they are 20snags up.

Think that reflects more negatively on those that engage in that sort of behavior.ethnicstarforward wrote:heater31 wrote:ethnicstarforward wrote: Bring in the mercy rule in my honest opinion.

Don't let the player kick 10 goals if you can't handle him enjoying it

Good on him.

Re: Adelaide Footy League Division 5 - 2018
Div 5 sliding doors
CBCOC
If there was any doubt about their premiership credentials then another comprehensive monster win all but removed all doubt.
Pulteney
If they looked shot mid-year, then guess again as the Blues look certain to lock away second place this weekend and a crucial double chance.
Kenilworth
If the Kookaburras are to be any chance in this years finals series, then they must beat Lockleys and secure the double chance.
Lockleys
If you had the Demons down as a pre-season premiership fancy, then your chances are looking grim as Lockleys could drop as low at 5th at the end of the round.
Woodville South
If you thought Woody South were just making up finals numbers, then wins over Lockleys, Kenilworth & Pulteney in recent weeks should have you rethinking.
Blackfriars OS
If the Hounds want to play finals, then they must beat Woodville South by 124 points. Not going to happen.
Hope Valley
If the Demons are upset about missing finals, then they can at least enjoy a C grade premiership and B grade finals campaign
Smithfield
If Smithfield are disappointed about 2018, then they need only look to their young crop of players and the good work off field to see 2019 is looking ominous.
Hectorville
If the Hounds are to take anything out of this year, then not finishing bottom and having so many kids blooded is the big positive.
Ingle Farm
If the Farmers thought the end of the season couldn't come fast enough, then hosting CBC will ensure it drags out a long longer.
Bedge's Finals Predictions
Week 1
Pulteney vs Kenilworth: Pulteney by 5 points
Woodville South vs Lockleys: Woodville South by 12 points
Week 2
CBCOC vs Pulteney: CBCOC by 31 points
Kenilworth vs Woodville South: Kenilworth by 15 points
Week 3:
Kenilworth vs Pulteney: Kenilworth by 3 points
Week 4:
CBCOC vs Kenilworth: CBCOC by 16 points

Pretty sure Pulteney will remain the home side in this instance.

Prob wont matter, they'll probably nominate St Marys for their home ground anyway.

Re: Adelaide Footy League Division 5 - 2018
Normally you'd think Kenilworth but obviously that doesn't really work out in this instance.
I'm not sure they can possibly be considered as having suitable grounds for a final.

Rumour around the Wellington Hotel on Saturday night was that Blackfriars will be looking for a new coach for 2019
Hopefully I can break my drought and win a game at para hill
