Yes, gets it into the soil (where the weed seeds are)rather than sitting on top and starts it activating.

Re: I need to know....
Good SAFooty folk, would really appreciate some feedback on how to handle a situation.
It's just come to my attention that one of our staff members who had been off sick last week (and is still absent), hasn't been heard from in several days. Apparently we've tried calling and emailing him but have had no answer or reply. Same with his listed Emergency Contact (his sister).
He's a pretty well-adjusted 52 year old bloke who doesn't seem the type to go on a week-long bender or find another job and cut us off, so we're pretty worried about him. Whats the best way to play this - Should I take a drive out to his house? Do I need to contact the Police? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
JK

Yeah Id go to his house see if there is any sign of him, does he live alone? Is he on Facebook? if so can you message him on that as you can see if he reads it or not?
If you exhaust all avenues and no response it would be time to go to the cops I reckon.

Re: I need to know....
Just found him FB but he hasn't been active on it since 2010 and no we don't have contact details for any other family members. Maybe I'll pop into the local (my local not his) Cop Shop and just ask their advice?

You can ask the police to conduct a "welfare check", they will try and make contact with the person at their residence.
I'd call the station nearest where he lives and give them the information you have.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

Re: I need to know....
Cheers guys ... His sister has contacted us now and she said she hasn't been able to get hold of him for a week either. Naturally she's pretty worried now and is going to check on him in around an hour or so. Will update once we hear back from her, hopefully it's good news.

Not great news at all, but he's getting whatever care he needs now.

In good hands hopefully.
Begs the question how can people have no contact with anyone and no one knows?
It’s sad but you hear about it all the time.

Shit, but has been missing since last week? Doesn't sound great, hopefully there's a positive outcome.

The little coffee shop "The Pear" in Sussex St at Alberton came about because of something just like this.
Joost and Christie, the owners, chatted with their neighbours as you do in passing from time to time. One older chap they hadn't seen for a while and found out he's gone into hospital, cancer was found, he never came out. It saddened them that they didn't even know so they started "The Pear" to give the community a place to sit, chat and get to know each other. It's been a great little addition to our community.

Easily, I'm more than happy to shut down for a bit and talk to no one, some people can, some can't.
I enjoyed being single for that reason, if my kids were away no one would bother me at all.

Why my Olds on holiday in Perth would spend a free day at the WACA watching that joke of a cricket team called the Redbacks?
