Re: CH9AFL DIvision 4 2016
I was at the ep v wos semi final and if ep kicked straight the margin would have been 10 goals thats what the game felt like and tbh ep midfield got beaten surely williamson butler and Diedrichsen cant play 2 bad ones!

EP deserved to finish top and even though they got WOS at Dwight Reserve in the 2nd Semi, I think WOS will adapt better to the big deck.
Pederson to win on Thursday night, from Armstrong and Butler.
It'd be hard not to back WOS in any GF, they play them well.
Very true, my tip is EP but you really can't write off WOS with their record. And like Pag said they could adapt better to the bigger ground.
going with the dragons here..big game and higher level experience will come through..

EP is my tip, based on the fact we played them twice and got no where near them, they are an arrogant bunch though which could be their undoing

Very much a class versus class game bubba love, should be a beauty and I don't buy in to WOS being a good finals team, so are EP, after all they did make it to Div 1.

Few beers last night Scoot?Interesting that you're looking at it from that point of view.
Well in my 9 years of senior footy whether it has been preseason or during the season there has always been at least one bloke that has suffered from Shin Splints because of running and playing on the harder surface. These have mostly been new players to the club doing a preseason at NH for the first time but a few that have played all their footy at NH have suffered from them at some point aswell. So the harder deck definitely has it's effect on certain people.
On the flip side traditionally we struggle on the smaller, heavier grounds and the type of footy we play, which is best suited to the fast paced deck of NH doesn't adapt well enough to those types of grounds.
Hey, I spelt everything correctly (didn't I?)
Na mate, just talking to some of the guys who came from other clubs, they've never felt their body pull up so badly after games as this year. I suspected it last year and I will keep on suspecting it till proven otherwise.

Haha yes you did, I was just having a joke about your outlandish thinking but your point definitely has some merit. I think you're right to suspect that it does have an impact.

Outlandish? Wow. No doubt I think differently to most though. I suppose it's ingrained into me to think of the root cause.
BTW, I think EP EASILY over WOS this week. 12 goals or more.

Re: CH9AFL DIvision 4 2016
Looking at the results of each side on larger ovals (Salis, Kenil, NH, Pooraka) and with the game being played at Thebarton Oval:
Eastern Park - @ Salisbury Oval Lost by 34, @ St Marys won by 31, @ Largs Nth won by 70, @ Lindblom won by 78 (3W, 1L)
Westminster - @ Salisbury Oval lost by 1pt, @ St Marys won by 29, @ Largs Nth lost by 31, @ Lindblom won by 26 (2W, 2L)
Rd 5 - WOS def EP by 45pts @ WOS
Rd 14 - EP def WOS by 41pts @ EP
QF - EP def WOS by 19pts @ EP
Ignoring all of the above, I'm tipping Westminster OS by 11pts

Re: CH9AFL DIvision 4 2016
Eastern park doing abit of a Alister Clarkson method and training down at agarna park tonight to adapt to the bigger ground and too work on there game plan very smart move... Eastern park by 4 goals too much class winter to dominate the ruck and give Ep midfielders advantage with mansell kicking 5+ Up froward...

Re: CH9AFL DIvision 4 2016
This rain has changed my tip. The more stoppages and the more contested footy will be a big help to Diedrichsen, McMullen, Butler. Railey will be able to physically impact the game more. And their smaller forwards (Mansell, Freeman, Williamson) are better than WOS at the other end. EP 11-20.

Westminster are something else in grand finals.
Rate both teams highly but think Westminster will get the job done convincingly
Wosfc by 37 points
