Re: SAAFL Div 5 2008
yeah hounds..its going to be a real big problem..plus the council wont want any personal injury claims from sporting events on parkland ovals..if you see cricket getting stopped after xmas i think u can expect a shortened season..it may even be that all the councils dont let anyone play on any ovals regardless..till they get enough water..

Elizabeth getting good numbers to training under Scully Platten.
Will have a C grade by all accounts.
Dave Rogers back on the training track.
Adrian Watts nervous about getting a game

would not be surprised to see the season moved back a month or something similar..once level 4 comes in after xmas these ovals will get nothing..it is going to be a real concern imo..what is plympton looking like atm bulldog?..i did hear that cricket may not be played there soon because of the oval..is that correct?
pretty hard and dry at moment, not sure on the cricket movments at moment

I think they are pretty settled now. They've been training for a bit.

The oval was obviously designed by someone who's never watched a suburban game of footy in their life with viewing limited to one side (and scoreboard placed on the same side as the supporters, not on the opposite side where it should be). once they build their new facility using the money they're getting from the government they will have a pretty good set up. At the moment it's a bit second rate up there, but will improve in the years to come i'm sure...

Re: SAAFL Div 5 2008
Just got news that Billy Schutt (ex Rosewater/Smithfield) has been appointed at Central United.
O'Connell back to Woodville South and aparantly on the phone to a few of the Units younger blokes. Vanderlans is gone, and Frith and maybe a couple more heading to Salisbury North to try their luck in A1.
Central United are in trouble.
