I have never really understood those weather apps that tell you the current temperature but also what temp it feels like....... until today.
It says 41c but says it feels like 43c.
It feels more like 51c outside for mine!
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

I'm in my car ATM and it shows the ambient temp being 44 and I'm in the shade.

I always time mows with the coldest possible day of a fortnight. I'd collapse today!

"Feels like" takes into account relative humidity, wind speed, wind direction etc

Relative humidity, by the way, is the sweat that's drips off you when you're doing the sister-in-law behind the shed at Xmas. :D

I did my 16km out to Modbury tonight and it was tough! Drinking water from the water bottle was like drinking bath water it was that warm!

That was one of the hottest trips I've done. And I saw it was 42 point something at 5.04, just as I hit the road.

From SA Power Networks:

‪AEMO - the Australian Energy Market Operator which manages the National Electricity Market - has instructed us to commence 100MW rotational load shedding due to lack of available generation supply in SA. ‬We will rotate load shedding across suburbs according to the list agreed with the State Government's Office of the Technical Regulator. Outages will occur for no longer than 30-45 minutes until we receive notification to cease load shedding. This issue is due to a lack of generation supply and we are required to operate at AEMO's instruction. Our website will provide real time updates on areas affected.
I'm gonna break my rusty cage and run

Call me crazy but give me a hot, humid day up North or in SE Asia any day. I can walk around Bali, Koh Samui and Darwin all day putting on sun screen once or max twice a day and sit in the sun 50%+ of the time and have a few beers and I will sleep well at night as I'll be tired. If I did the same thing in Adelaide on any day over 36 I'd be crook for a week or in hospital on a drip from the extra radiation pumping through the hole in the ozone layer. The further South you go it gets worse.

I was at Semaphore Beach today
Left my towel and keys on the under part of the jetty on a slab of jetty wood
Came back 30 minutes later, there were 3 young girls stretched out near my towel
They were goggling as I arrived , and continued so , I thought, young girls , probably stoned
Grabbed my towel, no keys , the giggling continued

I asked if they knew where my keys were, they giggled, one stood up and handed me my keys !
She said I should be more careful with my keys in future

Question is, where do I put my keys next time I go to the beach

Take down a snap lock bag and bury them under your towel. That didn't work for Heath Ledger in 2 Hands but....

The strange thing about the call from AEMO is that we have an entire gas powered plant that wasnt running last night. AEMO made the call to load shed 100MW rather than request the gas plant to turn on.

That is very strange. Old mate Kouts is bit of a knob but he is on the money with this one.

I just hope that a load shed wasnt used in playing politics as all of this has happened after Kouts and the federal government have being going at it over this issue.

Depends on what it is you are doing and what clothes you feel obliged to wear.
In Japan, a company I worked for sometimes made us meet up somewhere, then walk a kilometer or so to a conference center or whatever. There's me in my long sleeve shirt and tie, not quite the complete samurai uniform without the jacket, but during the summer months and the high humidity I would be sweating like a pig. By the time I got to wherever it was I was going, I would be drenched through. The only way I could possibly travel in such weather would be by car with the air conditioner on full bore. Any form of walking required a change of clothes, and in some situations changing just wasn't possible.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

and in Mile End, what a surprise 8)

There's a lovely red dot over Adelaide on the BOM radar at the minute - doesn't seem that heavy though, just constant
