I think the AFL will not take a club doing dodgy deals behind their backs lightly. It doesnt matter if it eventuated or not, they intended it to happen with a QLD team. Also, throw in Joel Tippett and also maybe other players contracts (which are now going to be audited I reckon) and theres sure to be more things they can be penalised for. If they did it for Tippett, maybe they did it to keep Dangerfield from going home to Geelong...

It is alleged that the Adel Football club are facing far bigger issues than just the Kurt tippett 2nd round draft pick issue she states that the Adel Football club are being investigated on salary club issues relating to Kurts brother at West Adel and the amount he recieved whilst Kurt was at the Adel footy club. Should these allegations be proven it has been said by the AFL that heads have to roll, Kurt to miss a bulk of next season under suspension, His manager de-registered. These were payments were apparently part of Kurts playing contract signed off in 2009.

Like i said i'm just a messenger but this i know is fact she does work at the Adel. footy club i guess time will tell...

Its not his job to sign off on contract details and know the legalities, that is what his Manager and the club are for.

Except he has to sign an official AFL contract which says this contains "all of the terms of the agreement" in addition to the signing of a stat dec that says: not he or any associate has or will receive/apply any benefit/consideration to this agreement"

By signing his contract and stat dec makes him a party to any of the agreements.

It's like you and I when we do our tax through an agent, we sign off that all details are provided and correct, in addition to signing our tax forms.

All parties here (crows, Belcher & Tippett) are in deep doggy do do.

Lets put it in perspective, he is a 22 yo lad playing footy straight out of school on $800k a year, he aint going to know the ins and outs of a contract and its legalities, you could easily assume that if an agreement is struck between his Manager and his club who have had years in the business and both have lawyers that would run their eyes over the contracts, he would have thought is was all legit.

Nup it's nothing to do with Kurts brother all to do with possible extra payments to Kurt:

The Crows, also under investigation for allegedly promising additional payments to Tippett outside the salary cap, had agreed to trade the forward to the club of his choice for a second round pick.
