Re: CH9AFL Divison 3 2016
So how is everyone going this week? Every team sharpening their pencils getting ready to pick their best team for round 1? All the hard running and trial matches are finished and everyone should be pumped for their first real hit out.
I know I am and the guys playing A grade can't wait to hit the turf against Mitcham. It's going to be a great hit out especially against a side we haven't played against much. So we will have to see. A lot of new faces at Walkerville this year. Especially picking up quite a lot of good young talent that should see a lot of A grade. So that's really exciting for us. So good luck to everyone for round 1 and let the battles begin.

I know they have lost a couple of players with last years ruckman being a big out. They might take some time to find their way.

Yeah they did seem to lack some size across the ground.

Swings and roundabouts in trials - Cant take to much out of them!
Using same logic Dutchy, that would make Blackwood, a side that missed finals in the HFL in 2015 - a 40 goal better side than Plympton, As BFC made short work of Flaggies by 16 goal 2 weeks ago in a trial?

Agree, can't take much out of them, however the last trial 7 days before both teams play Round 1 is when most clubs will be reasonably strong.
Think you will find Blackwood will be Top 3 this year in the HFL.
Either way the real stuff is here now and thats what matters.

The talk is old mate shrek is making a Shane Ellenesque move and playing out the other square for the start of the season. They think he will have more incentive to try and Kick over a jam jar if there is a goal involved.

Surely that over rated hack isn't getting a game in the 1s still?

They feel up forward may invigorate him, apparently the hunger is waning after his three premierships.

His hunger should be heightened knowing he was carried to those successes by his team mates.

Zartan you're just jealous that you're too fat to be carried across the change rooms, let alone a premiership.
Old mate Kilburn have been looking for an enigmatic forward ever since Darren Francis left. They think they've found their man in Graham.

Footscray's Simon Beasley was a stockbroker-cum-bookmaker, and now we have a lawyer in the goalsquare.

Can anybody give a rundown on the Gepps Pembroke match? Are Pembroke that good or are Gepps that bad?

Re: CH9AFL Divison 3 2016
I have followed Gepps Cross closely since coaching there in early 2000s.This is the lowest point in their recent history with perhaps a half a dozen players (make top teams)who are up to Div 3 standardThey brought in a coach from outside (whom they rate highly)over the top of one of their own,who left and many players departed with him or to other clubs.its going to be a long road back for a club which only a few years ago was a strong Div1 club. Hopefully they can sort things out and get back to where they once were. Just an outsiders view fwiw

Re: CH9AFL Divison 3 2016
Yes T.T. from what I hear, a diapointing
performance yesterday but, am lead to believe Gepps had no less than 14 players unabailable for various reasons. This does not alter the fact however, that Gepps Cross must question itself on wether or not they want to be a football club or a social club.
Gepps could be a good club again in avery short time, provided
People involved start to gel together.
