Mr Eastern Park himself. Never thought i would see the day.
Richie Carter coached their B's.
Ill throw it out there Brad at a guess played more games of sport for EP than Ritchie. Thinking junior football as well which i believe Brad played over 200 games. Started when he was like 2 hahaha.
Has played over 25 seasons of cricket at EP as well.
Brad has also been part of EP darts team and EP 8 Ball Teams as well over the journey.

Don't forget the plaque near the peppercorn tree in honour of his dad.

Yep Berty was an absolute legend. Sadly missed around EP. Had that perfect combination of brutal honesty but had earnt enough respect to be able to be that honest.
Legit question - Not just at our level but at every level of footy.
What is going to happen this year when a player at any club comes down with the Corona Virus and that player or any one that’s been in direct contact with them (Immediate team mates) has to go in to quarantine for 14 days? Are matches going to be forfeited or postponed to mid week at a later date?
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?

Any score Bedge? I heard it was the other way round or maybe it was the Captain Morgan affecting my memory, either way Bute in for another long season again up here if true.

I actually think it’s a very legit question. What happens if one the trainers or support team become infected and having had contact with most in the club, the whole club goes in to 14 day quarantine. Most clubs are deep with 3 senior teams and a big junior contingent. Add to that the women’s and girls footy it would only take 1 suspected case and what would happen. The AFL are prepared to play with no spectators and a closed stadium but none of us clubs have that luxury. It’s a question for great debate I believe with the height of the virus tipped to be at its height in mid May. One would hope the league has contingency plans.
JK released a statement today - we should be starting now.
No icky buckets with sweat towels (clubs shouldn't be doing this anymore anyway, it's grose!)
Everyone should be using their own water bottles (ie; no communal water bottles.
Sanitisers etc... just normal common sense stuff.
and if you don't feel the best - DONT GO TO TRAINING!

I apologise for stepping out of sync with The Update today though clearly this needs to be acknowledged if only due to the albeit limited number of enquiries.
Coronavirus19 and its affect on the world shouldn’t be lost on anyone.
As we speak we are at the very least attempting to come to understand some touch points around best practice to mitigate risk.
We have absolutely no doubt the fastidious temperaments of a Sports Trainer has already beaten us to the punch but as we come to know more, please note below as a minimum
CV19 or not, the days of sweaty hands tipping a cup into bucket of Powerade isn’t great hygiene In the short term it would be prudent to have all players be in possession of their own drink bottle. Place hand sanitisers around the changeroom and encourage players to use them
We’re doing our best to separate best practice and reality from hysteria but we’d also suggest common sense may play a role.

Bit easier said than done, I think.
What would you envisage said plan look like? This is something clubs need to take responsibility for.
Dumb footy players need to stop rocking up to training when they feel like shit because they think they can run it out
My new Mantra - I am no longer available to things and people that make me feel like shit
Watched Salisbury Internal trial last night. Only thing stopping them this year is Carona Virus. Squad was so good Pag couldnt even make either side and had to umpire.

Announcing my retirement this morning. More money in umpiring, and I reckon I'm better at it too.
