Sadly good staff hard to find lately and the newer ladies don’t do it, or don’t do it properly.. needs to be raised.
I’ll look into it. I’m off the beers at the moment so no idea.

I’m sure it wasn’t intentional it wasn’t a great pour… local footy/community clubs aren’t perfect. Many people involved just volunteers doing their best. Can probably spare ripping them on anonymous forums.

Re: 2025 Adelaide Footy League - Division 6
Ladder after Round 9
16 - Fitzroy
12 - Rosewater
12 - St Pauls OS
10 - Ingle Farm
10 - OSB Lonsdale
----------------------------
10 - Blackfriars OS
10 - Houghton
08 - Para Hills
02 - Adelaide Lutheran
00 - West Croydon
Round 10:
Ingle Farm vs Para Hills
St Pauls OS vs OSB Lonsdale
Rosewater vs Adelaide Lutheran
Blackfriars OS vs Fitzroy
Houghton vs West Croydon
This competition is becoming frustrating. Still no clear top 5.. Fitzroy have created a 2 game buffer at the top - but the rest is tight as a nuns proverbial.
Even looking at this weekend, with the exception of Houghton vs West Croydon, you could toss a coin for the result.
Still feel like Lutheran will claim a scalp soon too.

Perhaps frustrating but pretty awesome comp… 1-8 genuinely around the mark and even 9th place is competitive. I can’t remember a division this competitive.

Agree, great for footy and the comp.. but it's annoying for clubs that want to break away from the pack and secure them finals spots haha!Hack wrote:Perhaps frustrating but pretty awesome comp… 1-8 genuinely around the mark and even 9th place is competitive. Truth. Depth will be tested a bit as teams can’t really ‘rest’ players easily outside of West Croydon matchup. Lutheran have been feisty lately by the looks. The Bedge wrote:Agree, great for footy and the comp.. but it's annoying for clubs that want to break away from the pack and secure them finals spots haha!Hack wrote:Perhaps frustrating but pretty awesome comp… 1-8 genuinely around the mark and even 9th place is competitive. Re: 2025 Adelaide Footy League - Division 6
They nearly did on Saturday. Up by 5 goals in the 3rd. Up by a point when play stopped halfway through the last quarter. To only lose 15 minutes from the head clash to the Ambulance driving off the oval was a relief. Must have been one driving past. Looked like game over for a while. Then the Lions kicked 3 goals to one when play resumed. The Bedge wrote:Ladder after Round 9

This Div is that close it may come down to the final round to lock up a finals berth or a home final.

Lutheran's next scalp will be?
West Croydon and they'll finish with 2 wins.

They may not win any others.. but they only lost to Rosewater by 26pts, Houghton by 13pts and Sullies by 12pts this year.
They could potentially give Rosewater a run for their money this weekend. I'd expect they'll play BOS oval pretty well in a few weeks, and Houghton is another small oval that may work in their favour (although the Raiders are hard to beat at home).

Re: 2025 Adelaide Footy League - Division 6
8 games left, not really any clearer on who looks the top 5, it's very even.
B grade no real surprise that Lutheran beat Rosewater - it's been pointed out on here before but they look like they're putting their eggs into the B grade basket, both A/C lost - A grade really badly.
Similar with B grade though, 8 sides competing for 5 finals spots. Rosewater + Lutheran look the safest, but Para Hills beat St Pauls two weeks ago who beat Ingle Farm who beat Blackfriars who beat beat St Pauls.

What's going on with Henriks at St Pauls
27 consecutive games in their best
Not in the best for last 2 weeks - drop him to the 2's to find some form

Re: 2025 Adelaide Footy League - Division 6
Round 11
Adelaide Lutheran vs Fitzroy: Well this looks like it'll be a percentage booster for the Lions as the Luthies look like they're investing their best into the 2s. Roy's shortening further for the flag. Enough said.
Ingle Farm vs West Croydon: Farmers should win, would be incredibly disappointing if they didn't, but form all season has been like a yo-yo and last couple of weeks have been wasteful in the forward half keeping sides in the contest. Need to start fast and put Hawks away early, or a boil over brews..
OSB Lonsdale vs Rosewater: Should be an absolute belter. Two strong forward lines and crafty mids. Not sure the Sullies can stop Pawluk. May as well toss a coin on the result - Sullies win, stay in touch with sides above, lose and potentially fall 2 games out the 5. Rosewater win and keep a foothold on that coveted top 2 spot and home final / double chance... lose and could drop as low as 5th depending on other results.
Para Hills vs Blackfriars: Para Hills were good last week and a better side than 4-6 record suggests. Some good youth, quality on each line.. they'll be hard to beat here. Blackfriars like OSB need to win to stay in touch - put in a gallant effort against FlagRoys last week, they beat PH by 1 goal in Rd 2 but no Brincat will test them. I'll be hoping for a Roos win as it helps Farmers.
St Pauls OS vs Houghton: Match of the round. St Pauls eye balling that top 2 spot, Houghton can jump into contention for that also. Two sides that love to score and can score quickly. Can't see the oval being of an advantage to St Pauls - Raiders will enjoy the surrounds equally. Earlier in the year it was St Pauls who kicked 8 goals in the 1st term and managed to hold on.. Houghton's starts have been better over recent weeks and will be looking to reverse that result.
