Disappointing.
But also been a very good series to watch. Some great cricket and we got closer than I thought we would.
Hopefully wade can slap another 20-30 here and we can out a bit of doubt in their minds

Finally we show some intent.
That last hour and s half of madness has cost us the series.

Great series to watch but close to the worst Indian side of the last 20 years and we just couldn't win the key moments when it counted. Think we really need to start our planning a bit further out for our next tour there

i dunno, Ashwin and Jadeja will go down as two of their better spinners in history, Kholi may be their best batsman behind tendulkar, and the rest of their team is solid.

I'd back Tendulkar, Dravid, Laxman, Sehwag, Kumble, Dhoni etc to wipe the floor with this current mob

Disagree. I have seen england go their 4 times now and this is the best overall team ive seen. Their bowling is much stronger with ashwin and jadeja, plus umesh yadav is really good and underated. India always have good batting at home and pujara, rahul, kohli and rahane are all exceptional players. Australia should be extremely proud of their efforts, they probably needed more from warner and they would of won.

Needed alot more from him, he has been f**king insipid in this series. Hardly been able to buy a run for the most part.
Watching us crumble today was awful and so disheartening.

I hope Warner hasn't been recording the series on OLED to watch on his return from the tour.

Can we put together an all time Indian XI?
All of your names there must be considered, Sunil Gavaskar would also have to be around the mark.
Ravi Shastri
Kapil Dev
Saurav Ganguly
Mohammed Azharudin
Mohinder Armanath
I can only really judge on players of my era but their list would be as impressive as any nations, I recall Ravi Shastri coming over here one tour and batted 10 or 11 as every player in their team had scored a first class century, a couple of years later he was opening the batting for them.
HOGG SHIELD DIVISION V WINNER 2018.

I think Dhoni would be a lock as the keeper and Sachin could be placed anywhere in the top 5, he owned wherever he batted.

Re: Australian tour of India 2017
Maxwell never again should wear a baggy green
Warner never again in sub continent
We need to go back to preparing specialised pitches in Shield cricket to develop the future to playing on all surfaces

Think Maxwell has done really well the two tests he played, definitely more problems in the team than him!

Bishen Bedi, Farokh Engineer, Lala Armanarth, Vijay Hazare, Dilip Doshi, Dilip Vengsarker - could all be considered.

Re: Australian tour of India 2017
Looks like we're done but no disgrace this test series. You can cop the odd bad session rather than a complete capitulation like we did against Sri Lanka. This was the best effort in Asia for some time against a side that is ranked number one in the world. A number of our players made real strides in this series with some telling contributions in tough conditions. Players such as Renshaw, Cummins, O'keefe and Handscombe will learn a lot and they will be better for the run.
On the down side surely this is the end of the Marsh brothers. For a so called 'sub-continental specialist' Shaun Marsh was underwhelming for most of the series. Mitch Marsh should never wear the Baggy Green again and Usman Khawaja can consider himself very unlucky indeed given Warner's crap form in this series.
Looking forward to the Ashes this lineup should account for the Poms.
Warner
Renshaw
Khawaja
Smith
Handscomb
tba but NO ALLROUNDER
Wade
Starc
Cummins
Hazelwood
Lyon
A pity we couldn't go on with it but we did keep fighting back again and again and if Kholi had played in this match we would have won it I reckon.
regards,
REB

Chandraseaker ahead of Bedi let alone Doshi. Sir Isaac himself rated Chandra the most difficult bowler to face in his career.
