Re: I need to know....
What to expect at a Buddhist funeral?
There's a "chanting" on Wed arvo, then a "visiting" for 2 hours afterwards followed by a "final chanting" the next morning.
I've been to a Buddhist temple before and it involved a lot of kneeling which my knees aren't a fan of, can I expect similar?
Might have to wear knee pads under my pants!
One of my former work colleagues passed away on Saturday morning, I was shocked that his son rang me and invited me to the funeral, I haven't seen him for 4 years but did get along very well with him for 2 or 3 years I worked with him though and we had a small team of 4 programmers based together in SA. Have no idea how his son got my name or knew I worked with his Dad and that we were friends but honoured to get an invite.

Re: I need to know....
Righto, probably need to choose the wording carefully here lol ...
So recently a family member explained to me they have a lifelong family friend who is lonely - All of his friends have either passed away or moved overseas back to the homeland. So this family member asked me if you can still get hookers home delivered (F knows why they thought I'd know
)? Anyhoo, I told them I'd check with a mate who would know for sure. Ever reliable mate then tells me "yeah mate, just Google Adelaide Escorts or go straight to Scarlett Blue, they're unreal".
Well, not only are these services clearly readily available lol, the ladies in question detail all services they're prepared to offer and what the going rates are.
So my question - Is prostitution still illegal in SA? I thought it was and maybe they get around it by claiming its a "companionship service", but when you see the list of activities they're prepared to engage in & associated costs I had to wonder if the laws had changed or whether they just have legal work arounds?

There's a clinic where the old Mitsubishi factory was at Tonsley on the right hand side just as you drive in. Otherwise most GPs will check it out for you and let you know if it needs removing. The Bedge wrote:Where can you go to get moles and spots checked out/removed?

Can anyone confirm that if you're an employee with the ALH Group you get 50% off of a group meal at any other place in the ALH Group?

Bingo, taking my girls out for some cocktails has grown momentum and has also now turned into an 8 person dinner at the Coopers Alehouse, my daughter assured me that it's all good as she works at Woolies.Dutchy wrote:Correct weight, had my FIL's 80th at the Coopers Alehouse with 26 people, all got half price cause my son works at Woolies.Lightning McQueen wrote:Can anyone confirm that if you're an employee with the ALH Group you get 50% off of a group meal at any other place in the ALH Group?

The perks and the pay are the main reason I'm still with ALH!
I've found the Coopers Ale House shit for food though (and overpriced if you don't have the discount), easily the worst ALH place for food I've been to, never had a good meal there. Love using my card at the Ramsgate though, also pretty good at the Belgian Beer place in town, Findon, even the Halfway!

Prostitution is not and I think has never been illegal in South Australia.JK wrote:Righto, probably need to choose the wording carefully here lol ...

Brothels, living off the earnings of a prostitute (ie pimp) and soliciting in a public place are all illegal acts.
Thus, a person who offers sex for a fee which has not been solicited in a public place and is not under the servitude of another is not an illegal act.
Fill your, err, boots.
