presumably as their "reserves" for the top up players?

Interesting, so i would take it, if that happened at port, they wouldn't have a reserves side in the SANFL (Reserves that is) I wonder how they will have an "alliance" i'm sure they'll be able to use this to there advantage to make a mockery of both competitions. Probably figured out if the restrictions are changed they will have a better list teaming up with a SAAFL side, don't trust either of them.

Its very clever by the two clubs and a way of getting around the salary cap.

Be interesting how a resrves side in SAAFL would get around the 15 points max. League footballers are worth 4 points, it would mean some players may have to go from SANFL league football to SAAFL reserves

Lol you act like the AFL clubs will have to play within SAAFL rule
Surely you jest
Trigg and co have been spending the last year working out an exact figure of supporters who will attend these games and they have come up with 10,292
Thank god we've got the immutable rule in the SANFL that the two afl reserves teams will 'play to the line'.
It'll prevent issues like the ones the WAFL have just encountered.
'People are not stupid. They know when they are being conned. And two reserves teams operating in a League competition will reduce it to a farce, a competition without a soul.'
On an unrelated note, how long until the SANFL records it's first three figure crowd?

Will never happen, the SANFL counters wont allow it. However without looking at the draw, do South play Adelaide again? That could be the game that goes close on a balmy cold wet windy 8 degree day

Port were/are looking into the idea of having its Academy team play in the SAAFL from 2015 too. Recent rumours that Port Districts, Portland and/or Rosewater would be involved.
Have stopped following the SANFL this year because I have lost my magpies but are crowds across the board up or down with the inclusion of the AFL reserve teams?
another weekend crows or power reserves on tv how many times this year has the tv game not had either of those two on, I remember nwd and cent round 2. Nwd and Eags surely match of the round this week and still could not get on
