91.5 kg want to get down below 90 kg in four weeks.
How? 1. Cutting back on what I eat (snacks) 2. Increasing my carb intake as a percentage of my totally daily energy intake - fruit, veg, breads, pasta etc 3. maintaining my energy output (exercse)
Biggest myth going around that to lose weight you have to cut back on carbs. As the lowest of the three major food groups interms of energy density (carbs, protein and fat) the one food group you can keep eating is carbs. Want to lose weight? Keep your mouth shut eat less) and exercise more. Simple really.
the best way to loose fat is to cut back the carbs, try and keep your meals to no more then 10% carbs. What this does is forces your body to use fat as a energy source, which then makes it easier to loose fat. what your doing when still having a high carb intake is your loosing muscle not fat. which when you weigh yourself looks like you have lost a heap because muscle weighs more then fat.

Lets be serious.. to lose weight it's a matter of Calories Burnt > Calories Consumed. There are millions of diets and programs and ways to speed up weight loss, but really it comes down to commitment & drive from the person to lose the weight, there is no real quick fix.
Have dropped another 2 kilos over the last 3 weeks and have toned up. Which is now 12 kilos in last 4 months, the lightest i have been in 3 years (since i got married). Only 3-4 kilos of my ideal personal training weight.
-im drinking nothing but water (lots of it), pepsi max and low card beer -every piece of food in our house in low fat, low carb etc etc -protein shakes in between meals instead of snacks.
I havent been doing alot of exercise 3 x 30 sec Planks (yes similar to the new craze it is a great muscle toning and flattening exercise) and 3 x Pushup sets of as many as i can do each set. While exercise is important what you put into your body is by the far the most important, and when you eat it is key.
at the start of last year i weighed in at 95.9kg, lots of walking and healthy eating later by the end of 2010 i weighed in at 79kg, 6 months on and ive let up abit on the healthy eating (ill still eat fast food etc in moderation) and im still weighing 79kg
No scales handy here in the UK but as I've been to local feasts in Scotland, Wales, and Eire, recently, I don't want to know. I'll check in next month.
2.9 loss for the month so I am content. Although I still need to control my diet a little bit as I am nullifying my hard work at the gym with some poor eating habits, particularly on the weekends. e.g. weighed myself last Wednesday at 104.6. Had a big weekend involving a fair bit of alcohol, pizza and 2am Maccas runs resulting in a 106.6 Monday weigh-in! Busted my arse the last few days to get back to 105!
+4 for me this month. I have been doing a lot more weights this month. A bit disheartining but I am feeling the best I have in 2 to 3 years Might focus more on cardio this month.
Sorry Dude wrote:+4 for me this month. I have been doing a lot more weights this month. A bit disheartining but I am feeling the best I have in 2 to 3 years Might focus more on cardio this month.
What is your body fat %? If that has decreased or stable that means its all muscle and a good thing.
Too much cardiovascular work and muscle will degrade. Look at marathon runners skinny little runts the lot of them
I'm startled at the .02 loss in April Got back to some bad eating habits in April Im focusing on May as a 2 kilo loss, so below 116 is this months target
