Another kilo lost - now 95kg.

Got a 'mini'-goal to lose 10kg by late August, and the crackdown on what I eat/drink appears to be working.
They don't keep me here because I'm gorgeous and 5'10

TIP OF THE DAY!!!

drink lots and lots of water (obvious i know) the key is to drink this lots of water at Ice Cold temperature why?

your body burns calories while heating the water up.

it takes 1 calorie to raise 1 gram of water 1 degree celsius.

Cold water

Cold water is a must in hot scorching summer. We often feel stomach full after drinking a glass of cold water and do not feel hungry. But, some cardiologists say that drinking cold water after a meal will impede digestion and eventually lead to cancer and heart attacks.

But, drinking cold water during and after exercise brings down the temperature of the body to normal levels. Studies show that cold water gets absorbed quickly than warm water and prevents dehydration.

Warm water

Drinking warm water especially in the morning flushes the kidneys, helps in bowel movement. Warm water stimulates the glands on the walls of the stomach and prepares the stomach for food. Drinking warm water after every meal detoxifies the body. It improves digestion.

Decide yourself

Drinking water in either form is beneficial for the body. Drinking cold water burns extra calories, whereas drinking warm water improves digestion. Your body type and life style decide which form suits you. However, remember that drinking too much water in too little time can cause water intoxication.

128 for me. a bit of drinking and eating done by me. having leave doesn't help that. big month for me. daughter is starting to get a lot more active and this is the start of me smashing it to drop the weight!

Started doing more weights this month. Previously I have only been doing cardio training and have noticed a big difference. Only 1.9 kgs loss, but very happy as I have been pretty lazy the last week with a fair bit of junk food and no training! If I can put in 4 solid weeks training and get a little bit more disciplined with the diet, I hope to get under the 100 mark this month!

No everything you do burns calories at a certain rate even sleeping, drinking cold water means your body has to heat it up to your correct body temperature, to do this it burns calories at a slightly quicker rate than drinking air temperature water.

115.9 only a small loss this month but at the half way point of the year,I am pretty well happy how things are going.

I don't think I've posted on this thread before, but I'm also trying to lose weight.

I don't do as much running as I should, but I've recently started doing sit-ups and push-ups on a semi regular basis. I probably don't do them every day but try to do them 4 or 5 days a week.

What is everyone relying on to lose weight? Is it mainly modifying diet or an increase in exercise too, and if so, what has the exercise involved?

Sorry for the delay, I'm 116 and getting frustrated, lost 10 kilos in no time and now im struggling to get under 115, I rode just over 400 kms in my best month ever on the bike in June yet still no loss. Probably time to seriously look at the diet!!!

Positive is the bike riding has now developed that I can do 40kms comfortably and on track to do the Echunga 75km grand slam at the end of August, but know it will be much easier if I can drop some more kgs.
