Re: Celebrity Casualties
Yeah, poor bloke was blowing $10k per month on the junk.
He'd had problems years ago, cleaned himself up and then turned into a pin cushion again. Meh.

Booney do you feel the same about John McCarthy after his unfortunate death?

I think he had proof that Woody is a pedo and was killed before he exposed it.

I struggle to have any sympathy for these people. Junkieism is a choice its not forced on you.

if he was a regular joe u never heard of till u heard he had died from an OD on the news you would be saying "another junkie dead"
coz u liked a couple of his movies you feel sorry for him etc, SMMFH
TBH I haven't heard a lot of defence for him.
FWIW, If he had committed suicide there would be much greater sympathy for him. He clearly found life difficult to live, and by whichever means that lead to a premature demise, so to that extent I do feel sorry for him as I would any human being.
The flipside, is that he had the resources, which many people don't, to get the best quality of treatment money could buy.

Re: Celebrity Casualties
on a different forum I go on there is a lot of defense for him because he is such a great actor etc etc.
if my fav basketball player, (lets say kobe Bryant) raped someone, I would find it pretty hard to....
hang on bad example.

Re: Celebrity Casualties
either way, everyone will have different opinions
but once again this just re enforces how drugs (and all addictions) can ruin lives of not just the person addicted but everyone around him/her.
I don't think people sometimes realise that its not just you who suffers, it has a domino effect.

Slightly different circumstances, I'm sure you'll agree.
So, can I compare the two? Not really, one was a silly, silly series of events that culminated in a very untimely death while the other was continual substance abuse despite what seemed to be endless resources to help deal with the situation.
Chalk, cheese.

How do people feel about those who die as a result of alcoholism?
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

Re: Celebrity Casualties
A friend of mine who had cleaned up years ago started dabbling again recently and overdosed on the weekend. I'm going to the funeral saturday and I plan on telling the family "Don't worry just another dead junkie"......should go down a treat.
"They got Burton suits, ha, you think it's funny, turning rebellion into money"

Re: Celebrity Casualties
I heard it was a sugar overdose, her body was allegedly found with a lollipop hanging out of her mouth and about 50 of the suckers strewn around the room.
