AFL Footy show and Sam Newman - their jokes are so lame and almost insulting. I hate watching 'Street Talk', and feel sorry for the people on there, they just find the people who clearly have some developmental delays (to put it nicely) and take the mickey out of them for some cheap laughs - to me it borders on bullying!

Same old shit every week just different content.

i went last night, for my first viewing of the footy show for the year i think, but i enjoyed it still. its crass, the jokes are silly, the fat smelly collingwood bloke next to me laughed too hard when they were being sexist or racist, but other than that it was still an enjoyable night

Of course they go looking for people who are, for want of a better term, special. Why else would you go into Footscray, Rundle Mall or Lygon Street at midday on a weekday when in all reality most people are working / studying etc?

Footy Show formula :

Create controversy by having Sam flashing his nuts on TV or make some outlandish remark, people watch next week to see what the fuss was about, lay low so the producers don't cop too much crap for a month or so.....then repeat, repeat, repeat.....

On air formula :

Make jokes about Bill being fat, make jokes about Gary being hairy, call each other names. Preview a game for 30 seconds. Repeat, repeat, repeat.

I think they will be in a fair bit of shit for the ball sack incident last night. I was at a sportsman's function earlier this year with Billy and he gave the impression that they were on their last chance as a live to air show.

He probably does talk to intelligent people, but those interviews will never go to air because people won't laugh at people similar to themselves. People are ****, and are always up for laughing at people less fortunate than themselves.
