Am I the only one that doesn't give a toss about NYE? The GF keeps making suggestions of things to do, places to go (even as far as Murray Bridge) but I'm more than happy to just stay home or go see some fireworks.

I have no interest in it, never have. I’ll never see last night at 11:59:59 again but I didn’t celebrate that.

I won't suggest that, I don't think the missus would like it too much.

Take it or leave it. Last two, I took, big nights. Last night, dinner at 7, watched the sunset and home to a bourbon and bed by 11.

2024 threw some challenges at our place so good riddance I say.

Even just driving through the town to our accommodation, I could see why people don’t have a lot of positive things to say about the place!

You can see it all driving through, best view is at least 100km/h.

When I was 17, I lived there for 3 months while working on a drill rig. Our accommodation was the Hotel Whyalla. Luckily the owner didn't care i was under-age, he would often buy me drinks. One night last drinks were called so we bought a jug each & drank straight from the jug. Didn't end up well for me

I’d go the extra Kms to Lincoln every day of the week if you need a stopover, but then again I’d have the balls to over rule the missus and head straight to Streaky.

Slow drive up hummock hill at night, foreshore beach, drive to Cowell, can do a steel works tour ( do it while you can)

Bag it all you want but Westlands > Munno Para/Parabanks/Elizabeth shopping centres (not a high bar I know) ;)
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
