I think it's a combination of how busy they are ( school, sport, friends ) and how busy you are ( work, their sport, their friends, your friends ).

I reckon from Junior being 13-18 and Miss going from 10-15 at the same time went by in about 45 minutes.
I agree entirely, my now 17 year old came home with a hickey last night. Wasn’t that long ago he had zero interest in girls

I told him politely that “if I ever f%#<£n ever see one of those again no matter his age I will go postal”. I doubt I will see one again
count yourself lucky you have boys... I am NOT looking forward to my girls teenage years :(

Hickeys are a disgrace and i would have had the same reaction
Shut the f**k up wubbsy. I have 2 daughters and am trying to live in denial.

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has just loosened gun laws.

Here’s a couple of amendments : Under 18’s previously needed Judicial authority to attend a shooting class...now they only need Parental permission. Also, the number of ammunition cartridges a person is permitted to purchase in a 1 Year period has gone from 50 to 5000.

One of the World’s deadliest countries just got a whole lot deadlier.

lol, they limited it to 50 rounds a year previously?? even 5000 rounds wouldnt be close to what a sports shooter would need. i know people that go through that in a fortnight or less here in adelaide.

Peter Rolfe playing for Scotch broke his opponents back with a high bump as he bent over to pick up the ball and has escaped penalty. There is vision and it’s ugly.

Having just (in the last 4 years ) been through two kids learning, three things :

You'll find routes that work for you around your place, easy enough to begin with, 20-30 minutes, perfect starters. I made a point of, for the first 10-15 hours anyway, of not "chatting", just instructing. After that 10-15 hours I went up to 45-60 minute drives. Don't stretch them too early, concentration wise, would be my advice.

Once I was comfortable with them both, after 15 or so hours, and I didn't feel the need to instruct so much it was a fantastic opportunity to really converse with them. Really talk to each other as you perhaps ( maybe you do ) don't at home. Especially with Miss who had had some challenges in her life in the year or two prior, it gave us some real quality time together. As arduous as it seemed at the time I'd love to jump in the car with her once or twice a week for an hour, to see how she's going.

Finally, get him a lesson after 4-5 hours with you and another after 10-12 or so, it'll help you learn what he needs to learn instead of learning your bad habits.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Thanks Boon good advice, we ended up doing 80 mins last night, probably too much to start with but he was getting much better the longer he went. I took him on back streets, but ones I knew were tight and had some roundabouts but I then made the mistake of going down Happy Valley Drive, 80kph zone single lane in the dark, wont do that again for a while.

Winter makes it tough as most driving is going to have to be at night, got an away game at Modbury on Sunday week so that will be a good chance for him to do one leg during the day,

Was thinking the same about a lesson in a few weeks as Im sure he will get more out of it once he has driven a bit.

Gonna bit shit weather on Sunday and Modbury is in a prick of a spot traffic-wise, pre-select your journey as traffic will be very heavy in some parts.
