Do you normally return faulty goods to the retail store you purchased from or the manufacturer?
Purchased an appliance yesterday that’s faulty.
Rang the store and they told me I have to contact the manufacturer to lodge a claim with them first

They will only replace product if claim is successful with manufacturer
WTF

They said it could take 6 weeks

Surely someone is taking the piss out of me?

Australian Consumer Law states the retailer is responsible … they’re taking the piss but quite reasonably thought you’d be too stupid to question them.

I wasn’t going to question an 18 year old girl as she was probably just passing on what she’d been told.
Rang their Head Office as it’s a franchise and they sorted it out for me.

how long before the low am i aiming to be in the water?

used to go all the time as a kid, but was going with the old man, and i never remember now when i should be aiming for, lol. the few times i have gone as an adult i feel like ive stuffed up my timing. is it an hour before low? an hour and a half?
On the incoming ideally. Slack water either side of the low for half an hour so I've be venturing out on low tide and following the tide in.
thanks Boon.

i have a day off next week and was thinking ill take the kids out, although ill wait and see what the algae is doing before heading over to the other side of the gulf.

even if i dont catch anything, it will be good exercise, ill get to relive my formative teenage years, and as a bonus, get to see the kids freak out when we find some

might actually toughen them up a bit
in case anyone cares, went out yesterday, had the girl drive us over to Yorkes, got some hours up on her L's. it was downhill from there

didnt catch a thing (nothing worth keeping anyway)... while getting ready to head out i stepped on something and now have a nice cut on the sole of my foot... came back in and the battery was flat in in the old patrol as we left the headlights on...

however, was still a great day, better than being at work, got to spend some quality time with the kids, and got lucky with some people turning up just in time to jump start us, so we werent stuck for very long. all in all ive had worse birthdays, which just tells me ive set the bar really low in the past

Catching crabs on your birthday has a different meaning the older you get.

Perfect tide is anything below 2m incoming or outgoing tide it does not matter
Must be at night

Do you need nets NO
Do you need bait NO

Do you need old shoes and no fear of water YES
Do you need a ski type glove YES

Do one lap under the bridge and you will have a bag limit without fail

The method, step on the crabs and using the ski glove fling them in your bucket
dammit pantera this beer is warm

Wouldn't have thought so, their living the dream.

3 days of cricket, get paid thousands, then head off all around Australia living it up on the beaches.

No ones been hurt, no ones died, they will return to England in a month and a bit. What a dream.

10.20 pm xmas eve right now. Feet up. Have put away a couple of beers and just cracked a bottle of Ardbeg. Watched My Neighbor Totoro on SBS and a bit of The Sandman on netflix. Now playing xmas music while the fairy lights shine in from the patio.

This is Xmas. Shits on the chaos of tomorrow for sure. Merry xmas eve, everyone.
