and on a lighter note re:last night...the food was delicious but i know rowey on our table had 2 main courses and was still peckish.the inevitable mcdonalds stop was made after the evening concluded.why cant events that are catering for footballers and are $85 have enough food on the plate.seriously they could have served the mains on a tea saucer.would have also been nice to drink beer from a schooner glass and not a cordial glass.my final whinge is probably all too predictable, those funny little creatures we call umpires.some of the voting was indeed comical and defied logic.there was one instance were one of our players got 3 votes and left the field injured just before half time and didnt return.but it is a tough job and no doubt they do their best despite some peculiar results at times.
well done to kurzel from uni and brutus brunoli from ttg on their wins.

All inclusive shows always leave a lot to be desired...waiters for drinks were scarce. At one stage, in need of another bottle of wine, I rang the number on the business card in the middle of the table and ordered a bottle of wine. It arrived at the table in under a minute.

Further proof the umps seem to have an unfair bias against Eastern Park, the whole team only collected 55 votes all year. Lower than Broadview (by a sh*t load), Phos and University. Offical publication only managed to show the four clubs, or, my computer was having trouble loading the last page.....Harsh but fair.

By that reckoning Athelstone must be the umpires absolute favourites but I think BluBlu might disagree.

Also go close, Taylor from EP, Kurzel from Uni and Degarbrielle from Seaton.

Rowe from Phos will get a few too i reckon.

Pretty close on the mark there, for one of the first times this year.

Broadview by 22 points on Sat.

Good effort Shirtfront didn't think Rowie would poll so well it gave us 3 runners up from three grades I hope the 2s win tomorrow so we at least win something.

My god boozehound! your season has finished, and you're still having a cry about the umpires.
maybe have a look at the fact also that because your team also has such a high score kicked against as well as for, then even in your winning games, there are a lot of players from other teams that play really well and could poll votes.

Have to say that Matt Whelan deserves all the votes he got - he was the only Kilburn bloke that looked like he could play D2
