GWS lost to Melbourne in round 1 last year and most wrote them off.
They will still be up there when it matters but a common theme with their losses is that they are front runners with no defensive capabilities. They look great with ball in hand but when the opposition has it they run up the white flag pretty quickly. Lot of their players don't like getting their hands dirty or chase

Varcoe 1 week - what a f#cking joke. He lines a bloke up off the square, bumps him in the head and gets this piss weak sentence.
It was graded careless (WRONG), it was deliberate - and medium impact (WRONG AGAIN), it was high impact.
When you see what others get a week for, he should be buying a lotto ticket and sending a sling to the MRP.
