Re: Adelaide Plains Football League
Not that there would be heaps but who wears the reactive and preventative maintenance costs for the oval???
Does the $1500 include the water costs as well???
I'm going to guess as well the Council have some form of 'insurance' / 'public liablity' for when the oval is being accessed by the public outside of sporting club activities which would be covered under club/league insurances.

Re: Adelaide Plains Football League
No point intercepting when the most valuable assets have left - ie coach and key players. P & VP were constantly undermined all year, yet their hard work over the past three years is what's made this club a success. The coach (who has been the most successful for the club in history), saw the writing on the wall and wouldn't stay if the leadership changed. Half the board was shut out of key decision and conversations - including the president and vice president. Had a great option for a player/coach but failed to acknowledge his application because one of the players mummies doesn't like him. Didn't conduct post season conversations with players until it was to late and players had signed elsewhere, then sent them abusive messages because they dared to leave. Now telling everyone that the 2024 coach is stealing all their players - yet these players were only there because of the coach and came with him to start with.Lightning McQueen wrote:Who is taking over?BudsCat wrote:There is no missing 'moula' from Angle Vale - the treasurer is a ball breaker.
No sure where this info is coming from, however top three guesses would be
1. The coach that was there 3+ years and is butt hurt his previous 2 clubs made grand finals after being cellar dwellers when he ran the show and his wife was a paid canteen worker
2. Some moron who is listening to bullshit being peddled by another moron.
3. Some buffoon who doesn't understand that running a club comes with financial obligations to councils etc who are happy to take 20+ plus from non profits to use sub-standard facilities.
Do expect that they will go down the gurgler next year with the current execs (except one) stepping down. There is a reason why no one (head coaches included) are staying when they all know who will be taking over.
Why would everyone leave instead of intercepting the takeover if they know it will turn to shit?

Re: Adelaide Plains Football League
So I have no real idea what’s going on behind the scenes, just what I’m hearing, but I’ve heard the Angle Vale Netball Club has segregated itself from the footy side of things and may not compete in the APNA?
No current footy president? Up to 11 senior players gone already?
Highly concerning situation in that camp but salvageable all the same with the junior strength

Talk on the BL&G page that Freeling is looking to cross over to this league in 2026 and Two Wells might be headed the other way ..

Re: Adelaide Plains Football League
Are the jungle drums beating for the Angle Vale FC and its affiliation with the APFL?
Hearing there's some significant movement behind the scenes including an amendment to the APFL Constitution paving the way for the dismissal of the Owls.
Incredible development.

Re: Adelaide Plains Football League
What ever happened with the move to boot Angle Vale? Was hearing a lot about it pre-Christmas but all silent since.
Also heard the Clements brothers are back at Mallala after playing together at Kimba last year, although it'll be their first time together at the Pies after avoiding each other the first. Jordan Clements is one of the comps best players of this century and I believe has won 3 Mail Medals (2 in NEFL for BSR, 1 in Port Lincoln) since last playing in this league so a huge in if true.

Re: Adelaide Plains Football League
Paynter out. Hocking out.
Jarred Allmond won a flag with TW as well. Pretty big omission from his resume.
Not enough defenders in there. But it is a bit of a guessing game for the journo so can understand how that happens

Re: Adelaide Plains Football League
Jared Wilson would be a lock for top 3. Nowhere to be seen!
Matt Oliver is also a big miss.
Agree Paynter and Hocking out.
Some others are too high but that is all opinion based.
For mine number 1 individual player is Niklaus. 1000 goals say no more.
