Absolutely its odd but the logic is to ensure there is a result and not a draw. That isn't an issue at PDCA level.
I reckon the AFL GF should be played over 5 quarters

Story of our year.. play well in patches, start ok with the bat then fall into a heap. Very disappointing and frustrating yesterday, sadly however we just don’t have the depth.

He was definitely the difference in the end yesterday.

Thought i'd have a look today - haven't paid much attention to performances this year.
You're certainly not without claims - should get the 3 votes Rd 3, two in Rd 5, one in Rd 9 and another 3 Rd 10.
Hanisch and Arifi should poll well as well as Dyl Wilson - that's probably the top 3 right there.
