Youve always been short of a decent batter or two and probs tough to recruit one when your surrounded by Pooraka, Ingle Farm, Gepps and Vista but dont give up. Itll be sweet.

This is one of the biggest driving factors that brings me back.. I'm desperate to break the A grade premiership drought, and i want to be a part of it.

1983/84 was the last A grade premiership.

We have had our chances since I came back to the club though - lost by 1 wicket to your lads in 2013, lost by 1 wicket to Adelaide Lutheran 2017, then failed to chase 74 against North Pines in 2018. :(

Whats a premiership worth to you...….my last three premierships were all 15+ year droughts

Does anyone know what happened in the Gardens vs Pines game? It doesn't look like the even played day 2, a bit of a bold move by the Pines if so, it could cost a home final.

You did your own chances no harm Saturday i see for D2.. reckon it's a 2 horse race now - Akram from ER to win it.

I still think he will finish 5 votes clear of the rest of us, he’s piled on the runs and every time he’s reached a milestone it’s been a good one.. couple tons, a few 70s! Deserves it, champion bloke.. but I look forward to the challenge of bowing to him if we come across them in the finals!

Hanish probably be next in line anyway, runs and wickets always hard to beat

100% - quality bloke.. he's literally carried that side to a potential finals berth.

Lot rests on his shoulders this round - if he falls cheaply, then we might just upset them :P

Definitely the key for them! Well hopefully you blokes can finish the year off with a win and maybe even end their finals chances! Gonna be a tight finish with the top 5 teams, ladder is so close

I've got him 2 votes ahead of you, that's if Nugget's 134 rated higher than your efforts, I got Hanisch 4 behind you, there's been no bolters since my last update, there will just be a shitload on 9-11.

The ladder is insane, Smithfield win and drop out the 4, the Goats sitting 2nd can miss the finals.

All eyes will be on the Argana Park result, Craigmore have more scoring options yet Smithfield have more than capable players to produce something special. Smithfield chased down Craigmore's 171 with 2 wickets to spare last time they met, Craigmore appear a bit stronger now all round.

Royals too strong for the Earwigs, Units to win easily against the Goats and Westies to jag an unlikely win against the Huts.

Units
Royals
Craigmore
Goats

Grade 1 looks just as interesting.

North Pines will probably get the rough end of the stick here, even if they win outright it will only prop Dublin's points up too, especially considering Virginia take on the Gardens. Pines will be hoping for a massive upset there to reach the finals or hope that Angle Vale capitulate to score less than 5 points while they manage 18+ points themselves

I'm tipping Angle Vale to get up at home against Westies.
The Pines and Virginia to both get outrights.

Westies
Vale
Virginia
Dublin

That average points for the bye is ridiculous,

Also, why have only some games received the points but not others? Should the ladder not be:

116.13 - SW
99.02 - AV
94.87 - DUB
91.32 - VIR
-------------------
86.77 - NP
74.83 - PG
57.54 - NEK

Zero points for the one dayers, average winning points for the two dayers?

Yeah, I'm not sold on it but hey, I'm not gonna go against Virginia, they look after me too well whenever I've been there, I don't think I've ever left there sober and they always force them little scotch glasses down my gullet.

Shout out to the Craigmore lads who stuck around for a few beers after the game Saturday - early finish, smacked us bad.. would've been easy (and inviting) to shoot off straight away and either earn some brownie points with the Mrs or go watch their lower grades.

They were humble in victory.. although spose it's easier when you barely get out of 2nd gear.

Do you have a list of the 12 players named?
Politicians kissing babies for good luck,
TV preachers sell salvation for a buck.
You don't need no golden cross to tell you wrong from right,
The world's worst murderers were those who saw the light.
