Might be time to try putting together an ins and outs, if enough time on weekend.

Massive ins.
Great to see Darnell back at Valleys and Cooper is carrying on his gun fathers legacy

Filming Footy to film all SFL men's rounds for 2025, with a match of the day livestreamed on their youtube channel.

No Shulz or Borholm will make the ruck position league wide a real unknown I reckon. Intersted to see who steps up.

About time on the filming!

Schulz missed a fair chunk through injury this year and Borholm was at least 50/50 as a forward.

Mitchell for Flaggies, Schirmer from Reynella and Smith from Porties will all be good again this year. Bode still keeps getting it done for the Emus, Galley was very bloody handy before the year off for Cove. Pokoina from Ironbank goes hard at it, while he's not super tall he's built like the proverbial. Gaspari will have the chance to be the #1 for the Shoes now, he's been very handy for them for years. Can't remember offhand who rucks for Christies or Aldinga so that probably tells you all you need to know.

Flaggies get back a ruck/CHF in Carney, not sure what position he will play next season, he won the SFL BOG medal from the ruck a few years ago against the GSFL.

Still plenty of quality big men down South, hence my earlier comment about Valleys needing some bigs to be ultra competitive.

I thought SFL had someone do their live streaming in the past.

Thanks for the rundown. Do you think the types of rucks are changing, the really big bodies like Schulz are being replaced with younger more mobile rucks?

I'm sure Bodey would appreciate being called younger!

Probably how the game is trending, most of these guys can play as a key forward or back if need be. I'd say Smith and Bode are the true rucks running around currently. The rest are all still big units though, 6'5 or in Pokoina's case built like Atlas.

Wilson from Valleys nearly got himself killed a couple of times against Flaggies, there's a huge step from rucking as an athletic kid in the U17s to going up against big boys who want to smash into you. Credit to him, he did a great job, but he's not going to last very long if Valleys persist with him there.

There's certainly still a place for the 6'7 monster ruck who plays nearly all of the day in the middle.
They're just not that easy to come by!
