I had to do the Old Golden Grove to Smithfield Plains 4am trek a couple of times, and McMahons to Smithfield Plains.

One night/morning I almost got to the John Rice Avenue when a car pulled over to see if I needed a lift, I took him up on the offer and when we got to my house he said "I brought this car from a house on this street", it turned out it he brought it off my mum, I still remember the number plate.
I was going good until after I got passed Curtis Road.. and after the dog chased me it sapped the last of my energy, rest was a struggle. Worst part was walking up Alexander avenue on my home stretch and it's a fair incline. Rolled in about 6am and was spent.. Different looking landscape back then too, wasn't much to see past Smithfield footy club.

Geez LM! Firstly that's a fair trek too, but more crazy what are the chances of getting picked up by a bloke who bought your mums car?!

Well it all seems to make sense now after this morning's interview, the truck driver swerved to avoid hitting a witch while driving on the freeway which resulted in him killing the 4 police officers.

Well they did find a meth pipe in his truck. That stuff makes people think some crazy shit.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

There are a significant few mildly psychotic and deluded individuals out there in the community since most long stay wards were closed so governemnts could save maney and profit off selling the land from about the mid 1980s.

They are having visions and hearing voices in any case, but add in aggravating their state with drugs and alcohol and it becomes more obvious. Methamphetamine is a potent inducer of psychotic states in anyone, let alone the predisposed. Meth induced psychosis usually settles in a few days, but persistent repeated use can induce a permanent disorder.
