Perhaps an outrageous comment.. but top 5 D6 > bottom 5 D5

Wouldn't be too outrageous would it...The Bedge wrote:Perhaps an outrageous comment.. but top 5 D6 > bottom 5 D5
I can only go off competitions like the SA Amatuer Soccer comp and for over 30 years now its not uncommon for a top of the table div 2 side to knock off a bottom div 1 side in the cup competitions which soccer have where you do play competitive games against different divisions.
We had one year when i was at the Grove Peckers where we were in div 2 and made the cup final beating 3 div 1 clubs along the journey. I wouldn't think ammo soccer is a whole lot different to ammo football from a divisional point of view.

Not sure about that Bedge, couple of years ago Elizabeth came up undefeated and it didn’t seem end up too well.

Re: 2024 Adelaide Footy League - Division 6
Sorry, I meant this year**
Woody South should play finals in D5, they were well off the pace of Fitzroy Saturday.
Blackfriars, West Croydon & Portland reported to be struggling a bit also in that division. On the flip side, Para Hills would be a strong D6 side this year and prob better than bottom half of D6.
Not challenging the footy gods haha! Just think there is a fair bit of change occurring at clubs in general.
Interesting to see how Greenies & Marion go this season up there - Marion in particular, building last few seasons they could become a serious player.

Re: 2024 Adelaide Footy League - Division 6
It’s not rocket science or at all hard to suggest that the bottom side(s) in any division would be knocked off by the top 2-3 of the division below - The only exemption would be D1 most years.

Well kind of....
From what I hear, Lizbeff have been granted an ok to field only one team.
At least they've been able to source a capable coach...

Re: 2024 Adelaide Footy League - Division 6
Did it previously for Kilburn in div 4 about 10 years ago. Easier at this stage to have a bye in Div 6R than change divs in my opinion. Looks like Pag must've turned down their request if they have sourced a capable coach.redyellow&blue wrote:1 team in D6?Footy Chick wrote:norm11 wrote:We will be fine.Observer55 wrote:Big rumours out of the greater Elizabeth area, the Eagles may not be the only club in the suburb struggling to get two teams on the park all season.

Who said anything about D6.. or A grade footy?
There’s a side in D6 that doesn’t have a C grade, that is struggling with a B grade…

Are you saying that the new coach has now renigged, or are you still sad because your old coach walked in the first place,
Give the new guy a go, he has a good footy brain

From all accounts he's a good coach, and has a lot of experience at higher divisions and other sports.
