Did you see his arms and legs?Jase wrote:The poor bugger is going to be in a whole world of pain... those burns on his face are going to be nasty...

Why don't they grease them up so they slide instead of squeak.
No way he'll sleep well for the next week or two.

Yeah he was a mess, just burns like that to the face are nasty... he was lucky he didn't break his jaw considering his chin seemed to be what broke his fall....tigerpie wrote:Did you see his arms and legs?Jase wrote:The poor bugger is going to be in a whole world of pain... those burns on his face are going to be nasty...

Just unlucky, real unlucky... took some massive stones to get back on the bike again...

Hoy at 62 becomes the oldest medalist for any country in any Olympic sport since 1968...pretty sure he's the oldest Australian to win a medal.Jim05 wrote:Silver in some horse event

Bit stiff in the soccer, thought there was nothing wrong with Kerr’s goal

The whistle went well before the goal was kicked, I thought. Can't be too upset.Senor Moto Gadili wrote:Very stiffJim05 wrote:Bit stiff in the soccer, thought there was nothing wrong with Kerr’s goal
Sweden scores a minute into the second half. Well played, impressive goal.

Re: Tokyo Olympics 2020(1)
Not sure why the ref does that now that VAR is a thing. Let play go and call the FK if they score; then VAR can overturn it if there's no foul.Pseudo wrote:The whistle went well before the goal was kicked, I thought. Can't be too upset.

Re: Tokyo Olympics 2020(1)
The girl that fell over in the heat of the 1500m (Hassan), just won the 5,000m Gold Medal.Senor Moto Gadili wrote:Watched it live .... amazing performance. She also competes in the 5k and 10k, so she was hoping for a soft heat run, but that all changed with a lap to go. Great recovery.Trader wrote:If you haven't seen it yet, do yourself a favor and watch the womens 1500m, especially the 2nd heat.
The Aussie girl (Hull) makes it through, but the one to watch is the Dutch girl.
I've found a replay via twitter (albeit very grainy with Mexican commentary):

Drama at the cycling. Mens team pursuit
As an expert I will sumarise...
Danish team cheated yesterday, caught out, but allowed to ride today stopping us riding for gold.
The cheats riding against GB crash into the back of the third GB rider knocking both off. Danish rider has a go at the GB rider even though he caused the crash.
Denmark having spat it walked off. Quite probably expecting a restart. Nope.
The injured GB rider eventually got back on to complete the ride.
Denmark out.
Karma.
