As a neutral supporter who goes to most GF’s this was definitely one of the better ones.
Well done North!

I've said it before but Grigg has to go back to the AFL. He's slow but still can add a lot of value at league level IMO.

Well done to the Roosters, you have to admire the fact that they were dead ducks this time last season. It gives hope to every club leading into 2019.

Well done North, best team for much of the year particularly the business end. Far too good today, Grigg kept the margin to a flattering level. Enjoy Roosters, thoroughly deserved!!

North 16. 8

Norwood 12.15

40,355 crowd

What was it last year?
Last year's crowd was the biggest since 1998, it was also around the 40,000 mark. THis year's mark definitely in good company. I thought before the game that they would see it out. There are a lot of North and Norwood fans, and North not being at the big dance for a few years would have pulled a few Cocks there.

Sorry, couldn't resist pun.

Congrats Norf. Better team on the day won. GF was a great spectacle for neutral supporters too.

27 year drought over... beating Sturt's 26 ;)

The crowd must have been bigger than they expected given the top tier of the southern stand was closed.
It was open last year.

The top tier would hold close to 10,000 wouldn’t it so surprised at the final crowd.
Anyway great crowd, great day, great footy.
Good advertisement for SANFL footy.

Thank god for SANFL. Great game. Much more entertaining the the two AFL prelims and the WAFL and VFL grand finals.

Well played Roosters.

Isn't the Jack Oatey Medal for the best player in the Grand Final?

Nothing in the prerequisites that says he has to be from the winning side.

Absolutely HANDS DOWN no doubt that Mitch Grigg was the CLEAR best player on the ground.
