I know Flinders Park had a good win against a top side, but will be interesting to see how they go on flat decks with nothing in them. Their attack looks slower than last year. Pedestrian at best. Their bats will keep them up, but can't believe they didn't go after a quickie in the off season.Senor Moto Gadili wrote:Some interesting results in A1 yesterday. Both teams who were promoted to A1 had good wins with Flinders Park accounting for Princes and Reynella getting over SPOC in a low scoring game. I was surprised by both those results. Trinity had a good win over Walkerville and Ingle Farm snuck home against Marion. I believe Pooraka v OSCA and Grange v Para Hills didn't get away.

Apparently an opening stand of 130ish. Hanson 88* and Bailey made 60ish.Lightning McQueen wrote:1/181 suggests someone went alright.Punter707 wrote:Where the little Davey Rockets pissed on the weekend or did Hansen score 100?Wizard of Oz wrote:How about those little old Adelaide Tim Davey Lions Rockets....

Having played against Reynella in the old SCA for many years I can assure you that your lad is going to a very good club.MatteeG wrote:Bingo, went to the info night, he'll start training next week I believe. Thoughts on the ATCA junior setup?

Cheers WP, had his first game last Friday night, got a second baller with the bat but bounced back with the ball picking up a clean bowled wicket. First impressions of the coaching and organisation are very good.whitepointers wrote:MatteeG wrote:

Thanks WP.
Had some great battles with you guys in the early 2000's before we went turf.
Always played in good spirits as well.
Enjoyed having a beer or 3 after the game.

We might have a few wash outs again this week. Heavy rain at Pooraka, Ingle Farm and Para Hills from 6.00pm yesterday .... 15 - 20mm. Pooraka and Para Hills have covers, but I'm not sure they would protect the pitches from the deluge. Farmers don't have covers, so they would be doubtful.

Re: ATCA
Couple of great games in A1 yesterday. Bulls chase down Trinity's 247 off the last ball and Princes finish 2 runs short of Para Hills 232, led by 120 from Latchford. Hard to imagine someone making 120 in a 40 over game and losing. Reynella and Flinders Park both made it two from two to sit on top. OSCA beat Walkerville and the Farmers V SPOC game didn't get away.

The Para Hills vs Paoc game was a ripper, had everything in it. Latchford ton was all class after being dropped first ball by our club secretary at slip.Senor Moto Gadili wrote:Couple of great games in A1 yesterday. Harvey Box's 92 was also a great innings and Mccard found some touch with the bat. Good to have a beer after with PAOC to.

Won the toss and fielded without a full side being there. Dropped him twice early, and then batted like it was a test match.
Too good a player to give chances to.
Thanks for checking in tho.

Hearing the rockets were involved in some controversy over the weekend.
Anyone know the details?

Re: ATCA
Fair to say it might have involved one side cheating their arses off and the Rockets standing up for themselves - Just a guess based on the many years of stories and history fair to say this is a short-priced favourite!!Trader wrote:Hearing the rockets were involved in some controversy over the weekend.

Re: ATCA
Can't elaborate too much, but we did walk off during the game after multiple incidents, one being a mankad.
We've put a report in and will leave it at that.
