Re: INS and OUTS 2025
From NAFC :
Under recent changes to SANFL list regulations, Oliver Francou will join Port Adelaide for the 2025 season.
Oliver, eligible for this year’s draft, was involved with Port Adelaide during the season as part of their father/son program and will now have greater access to an AFL environment. This access to the elite level will be an important step in his pursuit of an AFL opportunity.
Oliver, if not selected for Port Adelaide, will return, and play in our reserves side as we aim to support his development on and off the field. We still have a strong Francou representation at the club, with Will and Ben involved in our senior and junior programs in 2025.
We support Oli in his choice to have access to an AFL environment and will welcome him back when those opportunities present.

Re: INS and OUTS 2025
Under these new rules that attract these players, if the AFL clubs have a good run with zero/few injuries then they won't get an opportunity to play league footy even back at their "home" club, so you could have a player who is a genuine SANFL league footballer languishing in the reserves comp. How is that good for their development?

What is port/crows salary cap for their SANFL teams
It’s about $120k for an afl club in the vfl.

Im guessing its so Port and the Crows dont have "their" players playing against them. Oh the ironyDutchy wrote:Under these new rules that attract these players, if the AFL clubs have a good run with zero/few injuries then they won't get an opportunity to play league footy even back at their "home" club, so you could have a player who is a genuine SANFL league footballer languishing in the reserves comp. I would love to know the reason why this rule was put in place?

Because the SANFL were desperate for the 2 clubs to be here.... only they know the answer as to why.daysofourlives wrote:Im guessing its so Port and the Crows dont have "their" players playing against them. Re: INS and OUTS 2025
IMO Zach is exactly what we needed. We have excellent forwards (Grace, Dudley, Gasper, Lange and Thomas) and tough clearance winners (Grant, Chisholm, Sharp, Dittmar) but we lack the finesse and finish on the outside. Zach fits this bill perfectly. Great get.Dogs64 wrote:Confirmed, and Zach Adams a wingman from Tassie.Spargo wrote:Would have to wipe away a bit of dustgazzamagoo wrote:He'll count 9 on our walls.
At this stage we have lost three players from our preliminary final losing side. (Schiller, Munn and McLennan).
Potential ins include 4 recruits plus Gasper, Mihail L, East and Grant (all missed thru injury). And Linke?
Reckon we are in good shape.
