KL is an ok airport but still not great. I’ll be back through there in a months time and it looks like the Aerotrain is still out of action until next year which is PITAJimmy_041 wrote:However, how good is KL airport?Jase wrote:Getting off a Malaysian airway flight this morning at 7:15, and not getting out of the airport until 9:00am because of passport control.
Because we have the little one who is 8 couldn’t use the e gates so had to line up with all the international visitors who can’t fill in forms correctly, can’t answer questions because of language barriers.
The girls and I had been travelling since 11:30am GMT Sunday, rolled through the door of the house at 9:40am today and have had 3 hours sleep…
How goods travelling? Well the holiday was awesome, but screaming 4 year olds (who weren’t ours) for 13 hours between Heathrow and KL are somewhat challenging.

Re: Things that give you the sh1ts
Daughter called at 7pm tonight saying she couldn’t start her car. Over the phone prognosis suggested a likely flat battery, so I hop in the car to meet where she was parked to jump start and get her on her way.
Car started with a jump start but the battery was so flat the power steering would cut power and stall the car when the steering wheel was turned. Tried to idle for a while to get some juice into the battery but it wouldn’t hold enough charge.
Too late to get a new battery so had to leave the car there … will pickup a new battery first thing in the morning and replace.
The only problem is that the car is parked in a lane that is a bike lane from 7:30am-9:30am, and there’s no way I can get there before then with the new battery, so she will get a fine which we’ll have to appeal.
My previous dealings with councils tells me that they won’t budge and will enforce the fine.

Re: Things that give you the sh1ts
They'll just ignore it ... you have to have evidence.
They'll accept a stat dec apparently, we'll see how we go.
If she parked the other side of the road then there would be no issue
It's an approach road close to the city and will be chockers at peak hour.

Our Senior VP from Canada here yesterday auditing our induction, WH&S and policies. As someone with no formal HR training I managed to bluff my way through. Although, the next time someone reports being called a wanker apparently I'm not allowed to say "Well, were you being a wanker?".
