Port are doing well to be on the 6th line of betting. 2nd last, on a losing streak, and 3 games out of the 5 with 10 rounds to go. They're always very injury-dependent across the whole AFL playing list, but there isn't a big list of quality players about to come back from injury in the next couple of weeks to boost their stocks. I'd accept that if they make the finals they could fairly be say $6 to run the board from the EF if their playing stocks are full. But, using that maths, under $3 for them to make the finals is skinny.
Norwood are in about the right place because their best is good enough but they haven't produced their best for long enough yet (plus an injury to one of the holy trinity of Panos Grigg Johnston would set us back quite a bit; a long-term injury to 2 of them would finish us as a flag prospect). Any North supporter wants to see them way over $3.25. Bookies are putting the moccers on them.
Port are awful. Beat up the ravens round 1 and thats what all they hype was based on (plus the massive depth they have.....bwaaaaaa ). Besides the 5 or 6 decent midfielders (sanfl standard only) they have each week the rest is a basket case. There rucks are a joke, not 1 key position player in the side and the fill in players arent worth a pinch of sh1t
If South can get up over Sturt you would think the top 5 is done and dusted at the halfway point. Would mean 6th is 2 games plus decent percentage out with 8 games remaining.
So the top 5 is set at the halfway point of the season. No possible way I can see any of the teams outside of the 5 winning the 5-6 games minimum from here that will be required to get in

Probably right. 10 wins will get you a place in the 5. Last year Centrals' made it with 8.West is playing good footy but will need to win 6 out of 9 games. Possible. Interesting is 2 points top to 5th at the moment.

Absolutely, any of the top 5 sides could finish anywhere in the top 5. Might come down to a bit of luck and/or injuries. My dream of a North v South GF is still a chance! Unlikely but still a chance!
