Re: 2024 Adelaide Footy League - Division 4
This division is going to be seriously tight with the top 6-7 sides capable of rolling each other on their day from an outsider looking in before round 1. Kilburn & Plympton you would think are early favourites, however I suspect this will be that one division that is incredibly tight come Rd 16-18.
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?

Don't write off Pooraka just yet. They've lost a lot of players, but the appointment of their new coach (from Golden Grove) could prove to be a masterstroke.

Watching Kilburn last weekend they play a very attacking offensive game style, keep ball moving forward/play on at all costs, they don't want stoppages. A well structured team will get them on turnover as they all run forward of the ball leaving plenty of space out the back. Id suggest some high scoring games are ahead this year, will watch with interest.

Kilburn will be a very hard team to beat. Matty stewert playing elsewhere. Could be the only out. Howson and okeefe getting itchy feet.
Picking up barilla mulady Moore Moore oconnor yedall Anthony Wilson Louis Lindsey Alex hughes along with a couple young lads from Darwin that looked good in a trial game. It’s been a very very good off season. B grade have lost bendessi to Brahma lodge and sumner back to eastern park. Polky has retired but still coaching rest of the b grade team are onboard.
Both teams should be right up there again this season.

Kilburn must be on 25 points with all those ins?
I did hear around the traps that they make all premiership players life members? Is this a way around the points system?

It only makes their Son's - Daughter's zero pts and there is a 2-waiting period.

Let that be a lesson to you, Port Adelaide Sturt. & Norwood You don't beat Glenelg in Grand Finals and get away with it.

25 points and probably 30 goals most weeks.
Yeah we are over on our points by a few. Next season with Solly and otoole dropping from 2 down to zero. And all players dropping a point will be back to about 11-12 points.
Both Moore boys are zero points as their father is a life member from the 90s. Alex hughes also a zero.

Had a mate who watched them in a trial and he said they were battling a bit. I think the window may have closed. I wish them all the best and hope the new Coach can get the group up and running. I have them in the bottom half though.
There are a bunch of great people at the their club who are working hard getting Auskick and Juniors up and running again but its is proving incredibly hard for clubs without juniors to have any sustained success in the higher grades without a strong, thriving Junior program
Like so many other other clubs hopefully the new facility will breathe new life upon completion.

I'm not sure what they're paying him at Pooraka, but he's worth every $$$. This could be the Div 4 version of the Bad News Bears!!

Re: 2024 Adelaide Footy League - Division 4
Some decent games tomorrow.
* D5 GF re-match. Reckon the Chics will win that one.
* Heccies and Kenilworth will be a belter, Heccies tough at home though.
* I wouldn’t be shocked if Walkerville at home made things tough for Plympton.
* WOS should be too good at home for Pooraka.
* Morphy Parks should easily bounce back v Gaza

I see Gaza B Grade has had to forfeit again I thought you couldn't be viable with only 1 side?

They’re only fielding one side this year. Thought that was common knowledge?
Allowed one years grace. Firm requirements around next year and fielding full compliment.

Pooraka's new coach just got a wake-up call. Might be one-way traffic from here on in.

Ok mate.
Decent game at Daly Oval, will be interesting when they meet again later in the year. Hectorville are pretty sharp. Plympton look the stage setters at this stage.
