Shit day

Big margin in the B's were they that much better or you guys that bad on the day?
What about the A's considering how disappointing Pulteney have been and how exciting Rosies have been nobody could have seen this coming?

We're a fair way off the top 2 in the Bs.
I'm not sure what goes on at Pulteney but their A grade is better than their ladder position shows. I thought the same last year.

A pretty interesting first half of the season so far where a gap is starting to be forged, there's plenty of teams in the bottom 5 though capable of disturbing the top half as we found out on the weekend with Pulteney finishing Rosewater's 4 game winning streak, zedman did call earlier in the season that Pulteney are a danger side, especially on the Parklands home deck.

Glenunga don't mind a shoot-out styled game, ranked #1 in attack averaging 109.3 points, I wonder if that eases once the weather kicks in and Webb Oval becomes a quagmire, if it still does.

A GRADE
Blackfriars 56.3 16 WLWWW
Hectorville 60.9 14 WWWWL
Lockleys 58.8 14 WWWLW
Smithfield 53.0 12 WLWLW
Rosewater 51.2 WWWWL

Glenunga 51.5 6 LWLWL
Greenacres 48.3 6 LLLLW
C-Bock 47.1 6 LWLLL
Pulteney 39.6 2 LLLLW
Elizabeth 36.3 2 LLLWL

team on the rise glenunga..would be shattered after losing by a point last week and dropping 3 games behind the five but will take scalps on the back 9 i am sure..cbc and greenies also very capable and would be disappointed with where they sit now..no easy games..relax for a second and you will get rolled..

Smithfield have a weird run home, if the weather trends continue they play all the traditionally boggy grounds when they travel, I'm not sure how Lockleys fairs nowadays, Smithfield Oval never gets muddy, it might take some getting used of or it might help the heavier bodies.

B GRADE
Pulteney 60.7 18 WWWWW
C-Bock 72.1 16 WWWWW
Smithfield 57.7 12 WWWWW
Rosewater 53.0 12 WWWLL
Lockleys 58.8 11 LDWWW

Elizabeth 45.7 7 WDLLL
Blackfriars 32.2 4 LLLLL
Glenunga 36.7 2 LLLLW
Greenacres 35.9 0 LLLLL

Smithfield have turned it around after a shaky start to win their last 5 straight but the Dolphins seem to be cruising despite their loss to Pulteney, their percentage is very healthy.
Elizabeth have suffered a bit lately from having to supply their A Grade with their better players.

I always thought that it was mainly just the centre square that gets a bit sloppy but the rest of it looked a treat.

Probably a good thing, get to see where you're at and then fine tune for the finals.

thought pulteney would be higher this year, are they really travelling that bad or just been unlucky with some results?

I ventured out to Rutland Ave to watch my first game of SAAFL this year. I don't think you could call a 150 point loss unlucky. IMO, if they concentrated a little more on the ball, than on the crowd, it may have only been a 100 point loss.

Some very interesting results over the weekend surely the bye doesn't have that big of an impact on how teams perform the following week.

Pulteney were very good on Saturday, the umpires gave them a decent ride, no matter how much we try to do the right thing we still can't win a trick from them, we will continue to try and win their respect though.

What's happened at Greenacres? Thought they would be pushing hard this season and so far they are up one week down the next. I see the Clark-Rantasa boys haven't played of late is that due to injury they are obviously both very important to them. The other team in much the same boat is CBOC at their best they seem like they can beat anyone but then put up an average display?
