What's peoples thoughts with Grand Finals being played at a neutral venue outlined at the beginning of the year, dependant on quality of ground and facility? Using the grounds that have club rooms/change rooms etc. For instance this weeks Div 1 GF being played at Terama instead of St Pauls.
Personally I reckon you finish high enough to earn that little incentive of playing home, you deserve to play where you like.
I agree. With only 2 teams missing the finals in A grade, at least it gives you some incentive to finish Top 2. Barring a wash out or heated out Final.
I heard Adel Lutheran were cruising along Saturday, handling Uern and Clarke comfortably.. until Grub ripped through them either side of drinks..
From there bundled out for 122.. I cant see it being enough, that ground is quick and Rose Parks batting is dangerous.. another flag heading the way of Rose Park looks likely..

Given the past couple of seasons I think it's been C&CCA executives on hand to present the shields - I'm thinking perhaps Pete Taylor may have the unfortunate task of presenting again.. apart from him perhaps Ian Amey? No idea..

Wish it was that easy for a flag. Some team defended 93 last season
Yes Wehrman's spell changed the game a fair bit. Picked up the Borgas bros and Whyte who was handling Uern the best I seen of anyone this season.

Has Whyte played all season? He made 98 against Fitzroy in the last round and I thought he batted well, couple of or other guys didn't think so but he showed a lot of patience and hung in early when we were bowling well.
Whyte is a little ripper, he threatens to tear us apart our clash earlier in the season, and has been in sublime form.. Jezza's might, played at Jets for a bit..
Played only after xmas

Heard Trav looked a bit flat and tired - semi final effort take it out of him a bit by the sounds?
Can say it now with Trav’s bowling season over but he’s been battling Achilles tendinitis for the past month. He’ll appreciate the season over more than anyone in our side. Still bowled well Saturday to pick up 4 for.
Whyte missed a straight half volley for a duck against us earlier this year but looked solid Saturday. Rode a bit of luck but all batsmen need that. Paul Collyer for Rose ParkCC knows him from his Northern District days

Without wanting to sound disrespectful to Rose Park, I think Trav has been instrumental to getting you lads to the spot you are - without his bowling this season I'm not sure you would've not only made the GF, but been in a position to win it.
Every time he bowled against us he was brilliant - 2x 7 wicket hauls, the first was one of the best spells all year if not the best, and then the effort in the semi final was simply workman like. Had he not bowled in the Semi then I think we would've won.
Well done to him on an outstanding season..
