Anyone know the Angle Vale vs Virginia score?
Eastern Park showing a bit of ticker and Craigmore done well to bowl Westies out for 185.

Re: PDCA
I seen a bit of the Parafield Gardens vs Eyre Royal Grade 2 match on Saturday, the Gardens are a quality bunch of blokes.
There were 3 or 4 LBW's against them, a couple of them the dismissed batsman was annoyed a little but the rest of their team defended the decisions and found fault in the batter, it then diffused the annoyance.
A very relaxed bunch, Reynolds hits the ball hard.

We had Jason Hull Saturday - think there were 4 genuine shouts (2 were more in hope i think), but the first bloke shuffled across, shouldered arms - not out "swinging too far down leg". Second was a couple overs later, full, straight, shuffled across hit on the foot.. "swinging too far down leg".

I thought Jace made one LBW error the week before from my vantage point but all in all he's a good umpire. The Bedge wrote:Lightning McQueen wrote:There were 3 or 4 LBW's against them.![]()

Yeah I think he's a good umpire for sure, and he's getting better each year. Relates well with players, keeps game moving and he's consistent.Lightning McQueen wrote:I thought Jace made one LBW error the week before from my vantage point but all in all he's a good umpire.

I generally only see him at the women's games but yeah, he has a personality and has a good yak with the players etc. Good to see.The Bedge wrote:Yeah I think he's a good umpire for sure, and he's getting better each year. Re: PDCA
I was pretty baffled to see the ER score in Grade 3, bundled out for 50 odd with a decent sort of batting line up.

Re: PDCA
Grade 2 - ATCO the clear early favourites. Strong win last round against Parafield Gardens, nearly collecting an outright, and then hitting 354 Saturday against North Pines.
Eyre Royals at this stage sitting second in the pecking order - beat Westies in Rd 1, now in the box seat to knock off Parafield Gardens and should be sitting 2-0.
Gets a little tighter from there - Enfield had a win - albeit not convincing - in Round 1, now need to chase over 200 this Saturday against Westies. Westies would start favorites, and should be 1-1. They have a good mix in their lineup. These two teams will be battling out for 4th spot I believe.
Parafield are likely to start the season 0-2, but their team appears better than that, and have some handy sorts - i'd expect they are the victims of playing the best sides up front and should find themselves right up in the mix by Christmas.
North Pines look off the pace, but they have some players capable of doing damage, and i'd back them in to win a fair few 1 day matches this season and shape the 4.. but id' think they will struggle to make the 4 itself.

The Royals were 2/8 losing Robertson and Harrison, Will Quick was keen to be a NW and did the job well. The Bedge wrote:Grade 2 - ATCO the clear early favourites. Strong win last round against Parafield Gardens, nearly collecting an outright, and then hitting 354 Saturday against North Pines.

You guys and the Royals are pretty evenly matched although you have a couple of potential match winners off their own backs, Royals are a bit more of an all round type of team. They don't seem to bowl to a plan though, they run in and just bowl.

Re: PDCA
EP did well with the bat which was great to see but Dublin did declare after 38 overs. Would have made 500 if they decided they wanted to bat the day out but obviously they were hoping for a one day outright.Lightning McQueen wrote:Anyone know the Angle Vale vs Virginia score?

Re: PDCA
Should've sent them in if that was the case, far easier to dictate an outright batting 2nd.whufc wrote:EP did well with the bat which was great to see but Dublin did declare after 38 overs. You can see scores in MyCricket.. you can view scorecards in PlayHQ when matches are completed.. but not progressive.Lightning McQueen wrote:I must have had a bigger Saturday night than I thought, I recall seeing individual scores yesterday???The Bedge wrote:I hate that you can't view progressive scorecards on PlayHQ (but can on MyCricket)/

Re: PDCA
Grade 1 produced three competitive games.
Eastern Park managed 6/102 off their 32 overs against Royals B.
Westies scored 4/130 when bad light stopped play in the 27th.
Enfield are defending 133 against North Pines who are 1/22 overnight.
Excellent result for the comp.
Grade 2 seen 3 evenly poised contests too.
