Our C grade will always be keen for a night game. But ur Cs and Ds are anal about playin together arent they?

Btw i dont know if your in the know, but what was the cost to get the lights up?
Does make it easier for us if the Cs and Ds play together. Having two teams at one ground, and two at another, makes a lot more logistical and financial sense than having three at one and one at another.

Not sure exactly, the council did have something to do with applying for the grant from state/federal governments. I believe Para Hills' new lights are under the same banner, and the new Soccer Park at Burton. Northern Districts CC are interested in playing T20s underlights I believe which was the main reasoning for them being pushed for so hard.

We recently (last year) had new lights installed on existing poles and it was > $20k.
They were never intended to be playing standard but they are a lot better to train under.
Pretty damn expensive to upgrade to playing standard lighting. Would estimate well north of $100k

From memory, we have had similar numbers quoted, $20k for new lights on existing poles and that doesn't include the volunteer tradies. I think the globes are worth around $2k each, four new ones on each of our four poles = $16k

Yep, PNU's were $120k+. minimum amp to play under is 120 (I think)

From what we've been told, it's 100 amp for playing standard for cricket, and if they're good enough to play night cricket under, there's no doubt they'll be good enough for footy. I think there's three different levels on them so we can adjust them to not use as much power at training, I believe we'll train at 30 amp but play at 100.

I think you'll need to amp up training if you're only going at 30 per cent ;)

rumour has it that James Fransico the dual premiership captain from hectorville, has been seen training with Christies Beach... From sources around the smoko table suggest a rift within the hounds ranks?? anyone care to shed some light/truth?
If so, would his brother Peter fly the coup as well?
Personally Peter would walk into any div 4 teams half-back line.
Massive loss for the hounds who would be hunting a 3peat this year.

cant wait to play them to see what they're like.. any tips Duncs?

I think they have a couple Ins to cover them if they left. But tbh i couldnt tell u how good those 2 are, saw their As once at start of last season and was severly drunk during the A grade GF ;)

On from what duncs was saying....if your a forward playing against heccies, be prepared for a tough day at the office. Most impressive back 6 ive played against since playing senior footy. Dont give you an inch the whole day.

The fransisco boys will be losses but IMO can be covered. James was surrounded by a very very good midfield, with wooton, howson etc the more impressive players. Peter is a very sound defender and i agree would walk into any div 4 backline but heccies have the cattle to cover both IMO if they were to go (not at all saying they aren't important to heccies structure however)

If you want to beat heccies. Get fit, fast. They move the ball from 1 end to the other without a blink (which is where they cut elizabeth to pieces in the granny last year). Another thing that impresses me is their unity and ability to work for each other (they are a close group i believe and have been playing together without much change in the squad for a while now)

Overall an impressive unit and will go well in D4.

All of the above, from my observations, is 100% correct.

I'd be interested to know what people think the eagles strengths and weaknesses are??
