Yep I enjoyed it.

Yep I enjoyed it too. Particularly the part where Chad said he would run into walls etc to hype himself up before games.

He really did help to make the showdown what it was. Every crows fan hated him but there was always respect

Well done Anthony Stevens. Hold your head high.

Wonder what sort of money they get for these interviews?

It was reported that he was offered $250k only 3 years ago to tell his story but he declined.
I'm sure he wasn't paid anywhere near this but still why would he come out now?

Maybe his kids are of the age where they are asking questions?

Possibly?
But bringing it all up again surely benefits no one.

He did say he was annoyed that Carey has a great career in the media, like nothing has happened and he is running some event hire business in Ballarat. So maybe he was a bit bitter and needed to get it off his chest?

If it helps him move forward with his life and he made a few $$$$$$ for his kids then good on him.
He did still seem bitter about it.

He said he has apologised on more than one occasion ...

Lots. Said he had Stevens and Archer to his apartment after the event, apologised to Stevens there and then ( after Stevens went berko ), said he stood up in front of all the players, including Stevens in a team meeting and apologised then, also said he has apologised on stage at a club function with hundreds present. I think Duck is telling the truth there, I'd say he's a different bloke now to what he was then.

He's very remorseful, on Talking Footy on Monday night ( watch it on the Yahoo 7 catch up if you like ) the opening 5 minutes was Carey talking about the incident. He said he's very sorry for the hurt and pain he caused, knows it was a massive mistake but has come to terms with it and "healed" his wounds. Was quite compelling viewing actually.

Carey also said something along the lines of "Don't expect Anthony to have forgiven me because I haven't forgiven myself"

That was a very painful thing for him to say, by the look of it. I think his comments on Monday night would have swayed, like me, many people to respect him more than they previously had done.

While I believe Carey would have apologised - in the macho team situation he was in, he would've been forced to - I will never have any respect for him as an individual.
Amazing footballer, shit bloke.
