Hindsight is wonderful but I don't think in hindsight this pitch would have hardly suited Sayers, no swing, no seam movement for anyone out there

You're right, although Sayers should get credit for achieving lateral movement pretty much everywhere he's bowled.

As I said I only thought that because the pitch looked so green less than a day before the start.
