The fault line hooks around Darlington, Blackwood, up to the Modbury Hospital, and back across to the sea. Doesn't mean that damage happens ON the fault line - it depends on which way the earth shifted and the geological material through which the shockwave passes. But this should explain why some felt it and others not so far away did not.

Magnitude 3.02 apparently. Geoscience Australia only phone reports through to emergency services at 3.5+, so other than being in the metro area, not significant in size.

I'm 2 mins away and was outside the house at the time - ground didnt shake but house rumbled.
It was 3.2 magnitude.

i live in seaview downs on the hill sloping down a gully running down the hill.
